Summary

"Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD" was announced on September 10, 2013 and would be re-released as for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows via the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade and Steam, respectively, in 2014. The new version features visuals closer to Assassin's Creed III as well as updated audio, AI and facial animations. Additional missions have been added while some of the Vita-specific touch screen missions and the multiplayer mode have been removed. On July 11, 2022, Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD was removed from purchase on Steam. Furthermore, it was announced that all DLC and online features would subsequently be inaccessible to players after September 1, 2022.

This has some really good parts and cool mechanics but the story was boring and not structured well at all, and voice acting is horrid. Again there’s a lot of interesting concepts that would be nice to have in modern AC.

Soo. I will be in the minority, but I liked this one more than Connors story. I tried to explore everything. Yes, it is short, but it reminded me of AC 1. Short game with new mechanics. Liberation on the other hand isn't as repetitive as AC1. Personas? Perfekt. Many people don't like the concept of making a quest as a lady (and I hated it too), but I think, Aveline didn't like to run around in dress either. It shows a complex system of slave/lady/assassin notoriety and the difficulty of getting somewhere and fulfilling a quest. If they left the decision on players entirely, no one would like to play as a lady. There is a big message in the game.

I tried the trading part, but didn't use it as much. Reconstructing shops was fun and reminded me of older games.

Story isn't very complicated, I ended it after 9h and went almost everywhere. I actually didn't notice anything bad about the graphics. Yes, it is not stunning, but you are not going to pluck your eyes out. I actually think, it was OK considering that this is originally made for Vita. I like the different personalities and definitely ship Aveline x Gerald. And don't forget to read Jeanne's diary.

I first wasn't sure, if I'm OK with playing the game from abstergos point of view, but it was definitely worth it. The parts with Citizens and uncovering the truth was fun.
