Summary

Live and breathe as Ezio, a legendary Master Assassin, in his enduring struggle against the powerful Templar Order. He must journey into Italy’s greatest city, Rome, center of power, greed and corruption to strike at the heart of the enemy. Defeating the corrupt tyrants entrenched there will require not only strength, but leadership, as Ezio commands an entire Brotherhood who will rally to his side. Only by working together can the Assassins defeat their mortal enemies. And for the first time, introducing a never-before-seen multiplayer layer that allows you to choose from a wide range of unique characters, each with their own signature weapons and assassination techniques, and match your skills against other players from around the world. It’s time to join the Brotherhood.

I gotta say, this one was a great sequel to AC2,lots of new features and things to do.Highlight for me was recruiting assasins and sending them to do their own missions.Story was great, loved how they wraped up the Borgia story, destroying their influence in Rome.Cesare fight is probably in top 2 fights in all AC.Story was great,it gets you interested once the Monterigioni villa gets invaded.New characters were good at what thry did, even dlc was done right.New weapons such as crossbow, butcher knife, stilleto and bunch more you can buy.Modern story was great until that ending.I know about Lucy's voice actor being fired for asking for more money, but situation where she ends up being double agent made no sense, since in 2 she was very determined to stop Templars.Desmond ends up in coma which os another cliffhanger for next game.It was definetly a fine game,a fine sequel and great conclusion for Ezio's revenge against Borgias.

Story/Plot: The main story is way too short and seems like there's no motivation established for Cesare from the beginning. I do like that you get to see Ezio rebuild the Brotherhood and became Master Assassin. But alot of it was rushed, seemed like at one point the story is slowing down then the ending sequences just happens b2b without any real stoppage. Interesting twist at the end of the story but overall very meh and short.

Gameplay: the combat was very much simplified in this game, part of me thinks Ezio is too OP but I do think its cool to string together executions, its just fairly TOO easy to kill guys although the combat is improved in terms of animations and executions, just too easy which isn't a big deal. I do like the addition of the crossbow, it makes the combat/stealth more fun, once I got the cross bow I never used my gun in the game again.

World/Graphics: In AC2 they went with multiple cities but in this one they opted for one big map based in Rome. Its a pretty open but dense map, detailed very well as they could focus alot on the one map instead of multiple. The colors and overall engine used for this game look very good and was a step up visually from AC2 the year prior. Overall very beautiful and runs well.

Side content/lore: I found that the side content was one of the huge saving graces for this game as it had alot more things to do around the map like Towers, war machines, guild missions/challenges, etc. I like how you can recruit assassins to help you in battle or send on missions themselves (granted a very bland feature after awhile).

Overall a very good game with good gameplay, fun side content, and a step up visually from previous titles but lacks in the plot department taking a bit away from it being a perfect game. Feels like this game was a nice bridge to Ezio's final acts in Revelations.

A great game, but a somewhat disappointing sequel coming from excellent ACII.

Production quality and overall visuals received a noticeable lift up, with Leonardo machines and tombs of Romulus levels being possibly the best designed missions in the series.

Open world this time around is just one city - Rome, visually beautiful, but suffering from being dull to explore outside of the main city area, the GTAV type nit pick of mine.

Combat received a big change with chain kills, which does look impressive and is suitable for a character like Ezio, but it basically eliminates all depth and difficulty the combat had previously.

Main story mission desing is probably the biggest issue this game has, at one point game tasks you assist different guilds the city has, which results with forcing you to travel to a different point if the map that at first forces you to clean up the area so you wouldn't encounter issues during the missions.

The missions themselves in this part of game feel like sidequests that stagger the story pacing. The story itself is good, Cesare Borgia is rather iconic, but then the story ends rather abruptly with a decent time skip, which is disappointing.

Still a great entry I initially loved, but ACII is still the most coherent and feels like a complete game in the trilogy.

i enjoyed the story very much, a good follow up. the combat system is better than the first one, i loved also the assassins recruitment it was so cool. the negative thing for me is the synchronisation it made me so frustrated knowing constantly I have to play the game a certain way to get the platinum, at first I replayed many times but I got bored... it's a good game but it doesn't make me want to get all achiements. I don't stand when you have to replay the game, and the way they did it it's a smart way to do it even in one playthrough... but I won't for now I didn't enjoy playing it because of this so I gave up. the rest is amazing, Rome was very beautiful even the way to upgrade it was so smart!
