Summary

Resident Evil 3: Nemesis is a survival horror video game and the third installment in the Resident Evil series. Like its two predecessors, it is a third-person action-adventure game with polygonal characters on pre-rendered backgrounds with cinematic camera angles. Although the game uses the same basic engine and gameplay as the previous games, the gameplay is improved by features such as auto-targeting, a 180 degree spin, and a new dodge move that allows Jill to avoid enemy attacks. The PC and Dreamcast versions includes all eight of Jill's possible costumes, as well as the mercenary mini-game Operation Mad Jackal which allows you to play as one of the three Umbrella soldiers. On the Playstation version, these special features must be unlocked by beating the game with a high score.

I finally played two OG Resident Evil games on the PlayStation 1 as I was lucky to find
RE2 and RE3 at my local CEX £28.00 each so £56.00 for both games in total.

This original version of Resident Evil 3 is definitely better than the remake. There was a lot of more stuff in this game than the remake like the clock tower, puzzles.. etc.

The graphics are very clean and smooth like Resident Evil 2. I was glad I could use the analog sticks to move instead of using the D-Pad so I was twice as happy to use analog sticks.

Resident Evil 3 Nemesis might be my favourite PS1 Resident Evil game so far. This game is brilliant and so much fun to play. Nemesis is way more frightening than the remake.. I’ll say that for definite.

This is the best game I’ve played on the PS1 so far, I love this game so much. Glad I picked it up.. why didn’t I play this sooner???

Brilliant game, 10/10!!!

This game always got a lot of shit from its release to this day. While not my favorite RE (that would be the first title's remake), this is a game that can actually delivery both action and survival horror.
RE2 was and still is a marvelous game. But sometimes it felt a bit too easy, especially thanks to the generous amount of ammo present in the game.
You could argue that this game also suffers from the same problem, yet here we find A LOT more enemies and the one and only Nemesis.
Unless you're really good at dodging enemies and/or attacks, kiss your ammo goodbye. Aside from normal enemies, Nemesis stalks you for most of the game and he is tough as nails. Fighting him is only if you're a good player, until then just R U N.
Good music, good enemies, fantastic protagonist (fuck RE3 Remake for ruining her), fantastic antagonist (fuck RE3 Remake for ruining him), overall a great game and a proper end to Resident Evil's PS1 era.
