Prey is the closest to modern day Bioshock we got in recent years which also does manage to live up to this comparison quite well. The game is an immersive sim set in a space station filled with alien beasts which have a quite clever gimmick to them - turning into every day objects to blend into the enviroment to strike you the moment you least expect it.

Gameplay is a highlight of Prey, weapons are satisfying to use, gadgets like the foam gun and granades that breakdown elements of items in the enviroment allow for some creative problem solving. Skill system with two branching paths, one of which allows you to learn and use the same skills as the alien beasts posses, is pretty interesting one making you chose if you are eager to lose your humanity over power, which also has some gameplay side-effects.

Story is mostly good, not alot of characters are involved, highlight being the protagonist's brother, personally I didn't quite enjoy the ending twist, but I have to admit it is pretty bold and on a second playthrough makes you look at the story from a different angle.

If you enjoyed Bioshock and you are craving for something similar with deep gameplay and clever storytelling, Prey should be on your list.
