Summary

In Deus Ex: Human Revolution you play Adam Jensen, a security specialist, handpicked to oversee the defense of one of America's most experimental biotechnology firms. But when a black ops team breaks in and kills the scientists you were hired to protect, everything you thought you knew about your job changes. At a time when scientific advancements are routinely turning athletes, soldiers and spies into super-enhanced beings, someone is working very hard to ensure mankind's evolution follows a particular path. You need to discover why - because the decisions you take and the choices you make will be the only things that can determine mankind's future.

It is absolutely a classic, and if you haven't played it before, you definitely should.

The story is engaging, with some flaws in dialogue choices, but the plot thickens as you progress.

I appreciate the option to choose between lethal and stealth approaches, adding depth to gameplay. However, some mechanics, like hacking and combat, feel a bit outdated.

While the graphics may show their age in certain situations, the cyberpunk theme aligns perfectly with the story.

A short review for this one because I played it a while ago and can't remember everything. I listen to the ost on occasion and this specific listen sparked a lot of nostalgia. Deus Ex is one of my favorite franchises, even 2, and depending on the time of day Deus Ex OG is my favorite game of all time, or damn close. I said Majoras mask was my favorite but really it's a tie between MM, DE1, and Danganronpa V3. Human Revolution feels to DE1 what Pathologic 2 was for Pathologic Classic. It's a different game but perfects every aspect of the original that it carries over including story. Not to name anyone specific but some people have beef with the story of HR and I do not care about there opinion. The ending is great, all of them, and although JC is awesome I prefer Jensen. He's menacing, cold, cool, and bad ass and playing as him makes me feel like a real super cyber enhanced stealth combat ninja. Stashed just deleted the rest of the review like a bitch so I'll end with the tldr; More consistent than DE1 in level design and music, and HR and MD need to be played together to get the full experience. These games are masterpieces each in there own right.

I just want to say HOLY S##T!
Picked this up from a sale a while ago and gave it a try cause I was bored af. Just finished the game few minutes ago and I can safely say that this is now my favorite game of all time.
From the story to taking choices that actually matters in the end, from doing side missions to getting praxis points for character upgrade,... everything about this game is brilliant.
Can't wait to play the rest of the games from the franchise.
