pretty solid game in some parts I got really frustrated and in some it was fun. I have to say I enjoyed more China for the gameplay and story, while for the art direction this is stunning more colorful and pleasing to look at!

+ [Slightly] Improved gameplay & combat
(compared to its predecessor, 'China')
+ Some new mechanics

- Rushed beginning
- Uninspiring storyline & characters
- Weak soundtrack
- Mediocre Level Design
- Unoptimized PC port
- Too many inconsistencies & annoyances…

Final Score: 6.2 / 10

Legitimately don't understand how this one felt so much worse. I liked Chronicles: China a lot, and somehow this one is just shittier. Maybe it's because it doesn't feel as fresh and new, but it also cuts out some of the unnecessary stuff from China. Way fewer intrusive tutorials, slightly smoother combat controls, new Helix powers... but the levels just felt so tedious. Just a boring game that I had zero interest in playing, maybe it's expectations fault, but I don't know. We'll see how I feel about Chronicles: Russia.
