Summary

From the critically acclaimed developer, Naughty Dog, comes the first standalone adventure in the Uncharted series. Fan-favorite character, Chloe Frazer, must enlist the aid of renowned mercenary Nadine Ross from Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End in order to recover a fabled ancient Indian artifact and keep it out of the hands of a ruthless war profiteer. Together, they’ll venture deep into the mountains of India in search of the legendary artifact. Along the way, they’ll learn to work together to unearth the mystery of the artifact, fight their way through fierce opposition, and prevent the region from falling into chaos.

I had low expectations going into this since it doesn't involve nathan drake but the game held its own. An epic adventure and a rich culture. Got me all interested in hindu mythology.

A surprisingly great side adventure that manages to prove that Uncharted has more characters up its sleeve to lead the series forward other than Nathan, which sadly the prospect was not explored beyond this entry.

Chloe Fraser, a character I didn't care much for before, shines here with a surprising partnership with Nadine Ross, making a great unlikely allies-type buddy story. Nadine finally got some proper character development and became likeable this time around.

The Lost Legacy continues to implement large open areas to explore, something Naughty Dog desperately wants to do more of, but I can't say it was done as well as it could have been. Doing the same objective three times proved to be a little too repetitive to me, but the attempt is commendable.

Visuals, gameplay, and combat hold up without improving much from Uncharted 4. Set pieces are still as great as ever, with the helicopter bit being my favorite.

Overall I found Lost Legacy an enjoyable spin-off, not my favorite story, and some of the padding is clearly noticeable, but definitely worth playing.

Short & Sweet ^-^ Nice visuals, interesting dynamic between the duo characters. I liked that they gave us a female pairup that didn't need to have any romantic sparks between them either (although I would 100% not complain if there were ☻). It gave us that whole buddy cop duo system that we're more used to getting with none female characters and it didnt need it to rely on any other factors like a romantic interest for it to be just that. So I loved that part of it.

It didnt feel as long as the previous games from the franchise so it ended much faster than what I'm used to for the franchise, but hopefully this is used to lead into more things for future games to comes as we know the main character has some sort of tie to Nathan Drake and the gang ^-^
If they don't, then that would make certain elements of this game a bit unnecessary like the inclusion of Sam in the story (I.e him simply being a punching bag for the ladies really💀)

Finally? The combat felt a lot more rigid compared to the previous ones 💀 specifically with the boss battle. Like I can't compare the final battle of this to the final battle of Uncharted 4 cuz bruh💀 not getting the shit smacked outta you and trying to dodge was like trying to move in quicksand XD

Overall?
Pretty good😊

A great time all around. Claudia Black continues to kill it as Chloe and Laura Bailey's Nadine bounces off of her really well. It's a feel-good Uncharted like the older ones but with all the prettiness and polish of Uncharted 4 plus a neat little open zone experiment sandwiched in the middle. Loved the finale especially!

Reviewed on PC via Steam library sharing. There were a few minor bugs like T-posing rarely and the odd camera angle below the textures but otherwise worked quite great. Pretty good hotkeys as well. Performed pretty much flawlessly, which is so satisfying when the game looks this good.
