Summary

The BFG Edition features enhanced graphics, better audio with more horror effects, a checkpoint save system, and support for 3D displays and HMDs. The game also includes the previous expansion Resurrection of Evil and a new single-player expansion pack called The Lost Mission. Additionally, it includes copies of the original Doom (the Ultimate Doom edition with the add-on fourth episode, "Thy Flesh Consumed"), and Doom II with the expansion No Rest for the Living, previously available for the Xbox 360. The BFG Edition also features the ability to use the flashlight while holding a weapon, in the form of the so-called armor-mounted flashlight.

Its best to enjoy art, regardless of medium, for what they are rather than what you wanted them to be. I didnt grow up in the golden age of the burgeoning FPS genre that the original DOOM began. I also really enjoy departures from status quo and unique interpretations. This game being nothing like the original doom games isnt the problem for me

Its a horror game thats not scary. Its a shooter with awful feeling guns. Its a story involving hell with dull, generic designs and colors. Its pitch black in most places, haphazardly imitating the froghtening sections of the originals when the lights are turned off and you have to fight with no vision. Those were special moments and work because of their scarcity. Here, the darkness is just an annoyance

All enemies will spawn in front of you, then one or two behind you, then in front of you again. Rinse and repate for 7-11 hours with a lacking amount of variety of enemy to justify that loop. The environments lack any personality, imagination, and dont provide any sort of areas you want to fight or move around in. There's so much health and ammo that even on the higher difficulties they fell almost pointless. Either you die in two shots, or onliterate everything. Its extremely repetitive.

The lore and narrative are extremely over hyped by fans. They arent anything special, as well as being told in an extremely uninteresting way. It fails at beng interesting because it hinges on you feeling scared. Something the game is incapable of doing. I've seen people say its filled with cheap jumpscaresz but I didnt notice many. Maybe they did them so much, so generically and so quietly that i didnt notice they were dupposed to startle

Its graphically amazing, and just generally impressive with its technology. That doesnt change that it has no soul, no interesting music nor ambience to take its place. A boring, lackluster story with equally uninteresting flavor text read on PDAs and computer screens. Its not bad just because its not DOOM, its bad because its just a bad game in general.

I enjoyed playing through the third installment. It's pretty fun to fight against demons and the different types of weapons you can use. The game is pretty challenging with the enemies attacking you and the limit health that the game offer you. Some parts feels frustrating and going back and forth gets tedious. But the game itself is still fun to play through.

The least Doom in the Doom franchise, really liked the atmosphere even if it is not what you could expect from a Doom game.
The lighting system is pretty cool!

This was an interesting game in the doom franchise.
I love the atmosphere and overall vive of it. It's pure space horror like dead space.
The gameplay on the other hand was weak compare to other doom games. Keeps you in small tight rooms while throwing so many enemies that it just becomes annoying. Works for dead space but doom not so much
