Single player Third person ⚔️ Slasher 🏹 Adventure 💥 Action 🚶 Stealth 🌍 Open world
Summary

Batman: Arkham City builds upon the intense, atmospheric foundation of Batman: Arkham Asylum, sending players soaring into Arkham City, the new maximum security "home" for all of Gotham City's thugs, gangsters and insane criminal masterminds. Set inside the heavily fortified walls of a sprawling district in the heart of Gotham City, this highly anticipated sequel introduces a brand-new story that draws together a new all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains from the Batman universe, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced gameplay features to deliver the ultimate experience as the Dark Knight.

This game is a love letter to Batman. The game design, from the open world, stealth, combat, gadgets, and traversal, is all woven together so perfectly that it enhances the storytelling. Batman and Joker dynamic is on the level of Alan Moore's writing (no surprise because it's Paul Dini). The side missions are so good (especially Bane and Hush) and keep you invested in various mysteries. Boss fights are super creative and full of surprises (that never gets old). While I do like Arkham Asylum and Arkham Knight, both of those games have flaws that I can't overlook. Arkham City, on the other hand, is a perfect game. It's the definitive Batman game.

If you have "Out of memory" error, then google for DXVK d3d9.dll, it will fix this game and other Batman series. Just read instruction, you need just 1 file. As for the game I enjoyed main story only on hard difficulty, tho scenario is so goofy and makes no sense. Side mission are really bad, you basically need to search a guide, otherwise only randomly will trigger next mission. Didn't bother with all riddles: half of them can only be solved after you get all gadgets and about 30% of them parkour/timing/gliding type, very annoying. There are some crappy gameplay mechanics: Batman is weak vs stairs, can hook only specific places and corner ambush is a mess. Catwoman has only 2 missions and other characters are only playable in dlc and have nothing to do with main story, sadge :(

One of my favourite games. Love the way that the characters were portayed, how the story played out and the chance to play as Catwoman!

Riddler trophies are a bit of a nuisance but then so is the Riddler as a character in general so still great!

Forget Christopher Nolan, Tim Burton, Emo Patterson, Zach Snyder, or the Animated series. From this point onwards, Arkham Batman became my favorite iteration of this character.
