For the legendary collection, visuals were improved significantly, and gameplay, on the other hand, is still exhausting at times to go through, but it is noticeably better than the original release.
The story is decent but weak compared to future entries; characters, though, are excellent and compelling. Really enjoyed the RPG aspect of the game with how by not reading the moment correctly, even your trusty partner can perish permanently; overall, the paragon and renegade system is praiseworthy.
Side activities and some of the missions that require you to mostly shoot your way for extended periods of time leave much to be desired.
Personally, I would mostly return to this entry to go through the story to carry over my personal choices to the next entry of the series, besides that, it's still solid, but definitely not the game that made Mass Effect a household name.
