Summary

This is the story of an unexpected encounter between Mario and the irreverent Rabbids. The Mushroom Kingdom has been torn apart by a mysterious vortex, transporting the Rabbids into the once-peaceful area, splintering this beloved land. To bring order back to the Kingdom, Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Yoshi team up with Rabbids heroes in a journey through four different worlds.

Mario XCOM with lots of visuals gags, the charm of the mushroom kingdom and the absurdity of the rabbits.

Lots of fun for a turn based strategy game. Extremely satisfying when you win some games with a plan that went through accordingly. There are even some creative puzzles between the fights but some of them can get repetitive and annoying. Doing the side content can get a bit tedious. But overall a really great game with a lot of potential to amazing. Looking forward to playing the sequel.

Donkey Kong DLC is also great, especially if you have nostalgia for the DKC games.

mannnnnn I genuinely can't be bothered to finish this game. I got to the last world but I haven't played in literal years. and I don't wanna restart either. this'll be one of those games I'll never finish (unless I get the new one in which case I'll probably pick up where I left off but eh I'm not all too interested in it tbh). Besides, back before I had a switch, I watched Zackscottgames (one of the most nostalgic youtubers for me, used to always watch his PvZ GW2 content lol) play this in full so I get the gist of it. This isn't to say I didn't enjoy my time with it, the combat was immensely enjoyable, I just have no motivation to finish it. I have so many other games still left to finish, so this is one of the games I must sacrifice in order to beat all the games I want - while remaining relatively sane. sorry!

A really surprising collaboration that in no way should work as well as it does. The humour can be a little crude but overall if you're playing this as a laid back experience it gets the job done for the type of game it is. Gameplay wise it's nothing to complex, but still intuitive enough with a solid depth to it that makes it easy to grasp and with enough time can be mastered. The story is as expected with a mario game, save the universe from a gimmicky threat same old same old. Characters have very distinct playstyles that make selections before levels actually meaningful, and the enemies are varied that effect level strategies. Overall a fun time worth checking out when it's on discount or it's a slow month for games

Honestly I was surprised as to how much I enjoyed this game. I'm a fan of turn based games but the interactions and feel of this game is just so darn great.
