Overall pretty 'meh' experience. The characters are almost unlikeable and the story wasn't that interesting. Plot holes, feels somewhat unrealistic, boring teenage drama.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm is a prequel to the acclaimed adventure game Life is Strange. You play as Chloe Price, a rebellious teenager who befriends Rachel Amber, the popular girl at school. You can use Chloe’s “Backtalk” power to influence the story and the characters. The title has believable characters and stunning graphics and soundtrack, but it also has some technical issues and a rushed ending. The game is a unique and emotional journey of friendship, love, and identity, but I prefer the original game with its more intriguing plot and innovative gameplay.

Chloe reminds me so much of myself when I was a teenager, this is one of my favourite games ever for that reason. I've been exactly where she is, struggling to understand her sexuality and come to terms with her father being gone, having her best friend move away - feeling so abandoned and angry at the world. Being able to see myself so completely in a character is why I come back to this game so often, it makes me feel understood.

It is extremely beautiful and exciting to see the story before Life Is Strange with Max and Chloe. It couldn't be any different, another masterpiece.

It's been a while since I played the first game so Idk how accurate my comparison is going to be but, idk how i feel about the internal monologue for Chloe 💀 something just feels so off. Maybe it's because she was such an impulsive character of her own right in the first game so it sort of took away from the character for me a tad bit when I could see the thought process between her seemingly brash actions but being given the option to see the reason behind said actions. It all grows on you however the further into the game you get when you recieve more Rachel dynamic scenes, because now Rachel Amber is that enticing trouble child with the "Perfect" outward aesthetic everyone seems to admire. The camera angles can get oddly placed and awkward ngl when it comes to cut scenes XD IT GETS SO AWKWARDDDD!!! XD but I love the nice little music breaks that can last almost as long as you'd want them to. I'm writing this as I'm in the process of one of those scenes XD I feel the game might have had its own interesting flair if we were playing as Rachel though. That way, not only could we maintain the outward outlook of Chloe's actions as a person towards witnessing her change and grow as a person abscent of where we drag her reactions, but whereas we got to play the reserved camera girl in the first game who got toyed by a manipulator, we might have been able to play as someone in the opposite limelight of popularity. Comparing their actions and choice possibilities and the difference in manipulation tactics that would have been taken in comparison to the completely two seperate individuals we would have been able to control. One with powers, one without. One popular (Which is arguably a power in it's own right), the other not. One survived and well.... we all know what happened to our theater Queen. It might have been a missed opportunity but I won't say this was a horrible route either ^-^ All in all? It gave that extra sense of detail for anyone curious towards what Rachel was like, a bit of nostalgia and a Pre-Chloe, on the way to the one we all know and love but not quite there yet. The ending made me feel a fulfilled sad :,/ really is before the storm, huh? sighhhhhh

Not as good as the first, but amazing for different reasons. The music is once again absolutely amazing, the ost and the soundtrack. I still listen to them both regularly along with the original soundtrack. I love this game just because of how gay it was, but at the same time it definitely could have been better. Chloe and Rachel’s relationship is canonical to the lore and it’s probably the most important aspect of this series, so it should be more explicit in its representation. I still love it for what it gave us, but I would have done a few things differently
