Heavy Rain

A pretty good playable movie. It's like a Telltale game for grownups.

Just finished Heavy Rain! The controls were a bit heavy, but manageable. With such a rich, dramatic story, it's still a 10 out of 10 for me!

Heavy Rain revolves around an interesting and beautiful [wannabe] story, but it misses on alot of important things. it had too many cliche moments, and WAY too many cliche and cringy dialogues. the writing was straight up not good.
the overall idea of the story is good, but i just couldn't help but think how much better it all could've been portrayed. it failed to reach it's full potential for me. but i still liked it.”

~ i don't really know how i feel about the va in this game. it's very good at times, yet very weird and goofy at other times. even the same characters aren't very consistent. i think i blame the directing more. at too many times you could definitely tell they were poorly directed.

~ unlike in beyond, some of your choices can actually matter. at least to some extent. the endings had a fair variety too. tho it's still pretty fail proof, but not as much as in beyond.

~ everytime i turned the subtitles off it turned itself on the next time i opened the game lol.

~ at first i thought it was actually gonna be a fun platinum that i could do with 1 replay, and it was, until the last two trophies. kamazakie and all endings. kamazakie was so hard, not because it was challenging, but because it was tied to terrible controls, and in one part of it you're pretty much scripted to fail. took me many many tires. but the one even worse than that was the all endings one. when i found out i had to replay the damn thing multiple more times, my day was ruined and my disappointment was immeasurable. replaying these games is just really not fun. not to mention that you have to sit through the entire 20 minute credits everytime.
