Halo Infinite

Meh. Good, tight gameplay, but the open world sucks and the story just doesn't do it for me, but that's subjective.

Really good gameplay with one of the worst progression systems ever.

73/100. After Halo 5, my expectations were at an all time low. Luckily, this game is better than Halo 5, so congratulations on not being the worst Halo game ever made. It's not much, but it's not nothing.

I'm still not sure how I felt about the open world aspect. It wasn't necessarily bad, but it also didn't exactly feel like a Halo game. The open world wasn't even particularly interesting, I personally feel that it added very little to the game. Between Echo being a crybaby, The Weapon being very cringy (although she did vastly improve near the end), and Escharum being the mayor of yappville, things were looking bleak. Fortunately, they never got so bad as to substantially detract from my enjoyment of the game.

This certainly wasn't ground breaking, but it didn't do anything horrendously frustrating or offensive either (it's really sad that I'm giving it credit for that, but it's where we're at). I've heard MANY people call this game a "return to form" with which I vehemently disagree. I would not say the Halo franchise has recovered, however, I would say this game has successfully stemmed the bleeding. Will Halo make a full recovery? I can now say I am cautiously optimistic. I think something Cortana says near the end of the game sums it up best:

"...But this isn't an end. It's a chance to make amends. To rectify mistakes. And it starts here."

I want to rank Halo Infinite higher due to its fantastic gameplay, but poor management, along with abhorrent monetization leave the game in a disappointing state. Hopefully the new management at 343 saves Halo Infinite from being dead because I want the game to succeed.

Halo infinite is a good ideas everywhere although not all the ideas been good on this game but some ideas are amazing like the open world is fantastic the movement in this game is cracked the story is brilliant the gameplay is unique and the multiplayer even tho it doesnt has much content but dude the game is something else u will be addicted to it its unique

Even tho it is 10 out of 10 game but comparing to halo reach halo 4 and 3 its nothing compare to it

I played all the Halo games in preparation for this. I'm happy to say I wasn't let down, if anything it exceeded my expectations. The story with chief take back Zeta halo was so good. I also love our new Cortana. Paired with the best multiplayer of 2021. Halo Infinite is a game I'm going to be playing for a while.
