Better than the first Halo in every way

My second favorite Halo. Goated

My personal favourite Halo game; Halo 2 is without a doubt the best written story and world building piece in the Halo universe. The game massively expands upon the universe with a unique campaign that lets you play as not only the heroic Master Chief but also my favourite character The Arbiter. This game set a foundation in which the future stories could explore and without a doubt juggles many aspects of the universe masterfully. The gameplay has some massive upgrades and unique additions such as dual wielding, the energy sword and new vehicles. The game also really was a massive step into eSports with the addition of the battle rifle and online play. It pioneered Xbox live in the way that allowed so many future games on console to have online play. Halo 2 sadly had an extremely tough development cycle which really took its toll on the dev team behind the games. It is infamous for the amount of crunching used to get every last detail and improvement into the game and sadly the story campaign had to be cut short with a cliffhanger which frustrated fans at the time but would then set up the sequel. The game also had an iconic soundtrack with some incredible early 2000's rock and electric guitar work.

Absolutely loved it!

My favorite game of all time. Everything I knew was Nintendo and then in 6th grade I got an Xbox and Halo 2. That Christmas morning my mind expanded to what storytelling could be.

Thought the ending was anti climactic but gameplay was way better than halo 1.
