One of the worst and overrated games i ve ever played so boring the mc is bad with a really awful backstory the environment gets me out of the steam cuz you continue to exist at that same FBI facilities the whole game yes i know the graphics are good specially with ray tracing on the shooting mechanics are not that good but absolutely not bad overall the game is sooooooo overrated i don’t know how it was nominated for GOTY and i remember IGN crowned it GOTY back in 2019 if i am not mistaken.

graphics are good but voice acting is a bit shitty and dialogue is confusing it's hard to differentiate when Jesse is talking or the voice in her head as the subtitles say Jesse regardless

Everything was hella fun , just the map and the side missions were annoying, the upgrade and skill tree made it feel like they did it ao it can last after the game wich made it less important to complete , over all 😍 experience

So far I'm digging the vibe and atmosphere, combat is good enough but the enemies you fight are pretty boring as of chapter 3. After finishing the game I'm convinced this game is alright. Like I said the world building and atmosphere is amazing and combat is fun with very cool powers. The story and enemies is were I think this game lacks big time. The enemies are boring even tho they introduce new enemies they still never change up the combat that much so it gets dull fast even with cool abilities. The story is honestly a huge let down . When I finished the game I didn't even realize it was the final level because it did not feel like it was. No huge final boss to fight , a sudden end cutscene is all you get. I still recommend you play the game but don't expect a good story IMO.

The idea is awesome. The map is too confusional and you spend 50% of your time going around wondering where to go. Didn't complete is for this reason, sadly

A well-written world and experience that channels the essence and feeling of the SCP world.

Control is one of the most fantastic games I played this year. Yes this may seem superfluous from someone who usually only seem to play well acclaimed games and is a big Remedy stan ever since he played Max Payne 2 as a teenager, but I don't lie when i say this, this was a fantastic ride. Sure it took some time getting into, as you slowly unlock your powers and abilities, but once you got the whole bunch in, you can rest assure they will be fun to use, and when the combat starts flowing and starts going wild, you can rest assured you will be at the edge of your seat, just feeling in "control" as you beat motherfuckers with telekenisis and amazingly structured guns. Like, technically there is only one gun with different shooting mods, kind of like recore, now that i think about it. But unlike recore, all the gun mods are realized. You got the pierce, The charge, the shatter, the grip, the surge, and my personal favorite, the spin, and all of them with their individual weapon mods as you astral construct their three slots to the fullest and then equip with the mods, become a power fantasy when you have every weapon maxed to its fullest potential. mix that with the different telekentic powers (my obvious favorite being shield rush and triple throw) and you have one of the best feeling characters in the form of jesse faden. Now there are some people who criticize the map, and the boss fights. I like to have beef with them. For it has the best form of map in terms of overlay, which unlike the shitty mini maps I have come to despise (because they take away from the beauty of the game), allows you to mask the beauty of the game and memorize pathways on your own to a point that you won't even need to look at the map after sometime. You will just know where you are at the look of your environment. And in terms of boss fight, well like any dark souls player will tell you, if its too tough, then go back, get some more experience (in case of this game, unlock a few abilities) and then get back, pay attention to boss pattern, and kick its ass. trust me, one of the most difficult boss fights in this, mr tomassi, becomes a cake walk once you have triple throw unlocked, and knows when and how to whoop his ass. Same thing with the awe expansion boss, hartman. so yeah, keep patience, as when it will click, it will click. In terms of story. Well those who know me knows how much i love remedy and sam lake's writing so i have no complain. Like i do wish that there were a few more cutscenes than we got, but what we got was weird and surreal enough for me to be invested in this astral world. the tons of logs and video recordings also helped, and the actor who played dr darling gave my favorite performance of all crew. I just loved it. So yeah, I am yet to finish the foundation expansion, after which I may expand my thoughts in the ultimate edition page, but as a long time remedy fan, I was more than satisfied with this game, and with the gameplay evolution it brought, I can only hope Alan Wake II and other future games only build upon an already fantastic structure. So yeah, amazing game, and a must play.

Control amazes the player with its thrilling and uneary atmosphere, mind-blowing gameplay and unnerving story. The game tells the story of Jesse Faden, a woman who‘s bound to an entity called Polaris, trying desperately to free her long lost brother from the FBC, an organisation committed to finding and containing supernatural objects for the good of humanity. However, due to complicated circumstances, she soon finds herself as the new director of the organisation. The gameplay is truly unique with a gun that can be molded into any kind of archetype and Jesses supernatural powers. The world design is superb with the ever changing environment that is the oldest house. You will always be on your toes while traversing this mysterious place. Remedy has yet again crafted the perfect atmosphere in a game coming from the heels of Max Payne 2, Alan Wake and Quantum Break.

Aaaaah- I played the game for a bit, it was okay. Loved the artsy vibe it took but- I reached a point where things just sort of started to feel a bit bland. Checking out the game from the beginning and being introduced to this character and her powers and learning ever so slowly about what's going on in its surroundings was enough to keep me going but only up until a point. I'm sure it had a great overall story but if you can't go along with somewhat repetitive slow burners, this game might not be the one for you as it wasn't for me. Same reason why i couldnt finish playing death stranding

If David Fincher made a game, this would be it! Beautiful graphics, unique gameplay and an interesting storyline. The visuals are turly remarkable here, from the gorgeous artstyle which breathes life into the environments. My issue with this game are the annoying side missions, confusing map and the weird skill tree. I wish they would refine these elements for their next installment. Excited to see what Remedy has in store for us

So far this is another masterpiece by Remedy. It's dark, fun and incredibly exciting and interesting. Graphics are incredible on PC at ultra settings and with ray tracing it is breathtaking. Combat is a little boring after a while, mostly how enemy encounters are kind of the same, so I drop 1 point here.
