Summary

Super Mario Land is the first Mario's outing on the Game Boy. It is a side-scrolling platformer much in the vein of the previous Super Mario Bros. This time, Mario must save Princess Daisy, rather than Princess Toadstool, from her kidnapper Tatanga, a mysterious spaceman. The game follows largely the same formula of its aforementioned predecessor, with Mario defeating enemies by jumping on them and collecting coins and power ups by hitting floating blocks, with each world leading up to a boss fight which is defeated using by collapsing the floor. A unique feature of this installment is two scrolling shoot-'em-up levels, the first of which Mario pilots a submarine, and the second an aeroplane.

I was gonna write a silly little review like I usually do but I feel too overwhelmed to do that. so for those who have been here Day 1 I'm heading towards my third year of being here.

I've been apart on many different platforms and communities but I never really felt like I belonged. Until I joined this little community. I'm an author and I've been writing since the age of 12. although I haven't published. I've written stories, fanfiction and currently writing 2 books, so writing has always been natural to me and this is mainly an appreciation of you guys. On Sunday I achieved to get nearly 100 likes on my assassin's Creed Shadows. It feels surreal these are numbers I never expected or even dreamt of. And all I could feel was bliss because you guys make me feel proud of my goofy reviews. some of y'all are even as demented as I am. And I like that .

For the past 2 years I have stayed hours liking and reading all of your reviews everyday. For those who don't write English reviews. I spend a long time translating because I want to feel connected to who I follow. and the fact that some of you even spend a second liking my stuff means the world to me. Ever since I joined I wanted to be like a few people on here. Some of my role model accounts when I started were @Rishirish @Manthecannon @doctorissa @detectivermin etc so many more. It wasn't a popularity thing it was more of a making a print in this community like they did... I wanted to be like them.

I've made some sort of bond with a few while I talk to 3 of you outside of this app. It's just a pleasure overall interacting with you all. I just feel overwhelmed in a good way. I couldn't be more greatful enough. If you ever wanna talk outside of this app just ask. thank you for your loyalty. you all have a loyal friend for life in me. I will continue to deliver my support for whoever supports me.

as for the game.... yikes. review coming soon.😵‍💫

Quite fun and short Super Mario game.
Only has 4 worlds with 3 levels each, a total of 12 levels. The game had very limited graphical representation, but for that it had charm. You only have 1 power-up, the pinball. You also have stages that are shoot 'em ups, simple and fun, can get a bit messy. Overall the game is easy to go through, and enjoyable.

Ancient Egypt? Spaceships? Gigachads flying around? DAISY? Definitely more entertaining than expected!

This has the achievement of being the first portable Mario game, but it's very barebones and probably has the worst controls in any Mario game. It tried to be different by having shmup levels but they weren't strong either. The strongest thing it has going is it's unique setting.

It's a very fun but short romp through Sarasaland. Only 4 worlds with 3 levels each and only one power up... but it somehow works. Mario Land is the oddest classic Mario game and is mostly overshadowed by the sequel but by itself, it's a fun experience.
