Eve and her comrades land on the surface to reclaim the extinct Earth and cross paths with a survivor named Adam. Eve is then led by Adam to the last surviving city, Xion, where she meets the elder of the town Orcal and is told many stories. In order to serve her mission to save Earth, Eve develops close relationships with the key members of Xion and contributes to rebuilding the city. On a mission to save Earth from the NA:tive, Eve is also faced with helping out the citizens of Xion. Whether you will help the survivors or not, depends purely on your decision as the player. The game originally was announced as "Project Eve" in 2019. It was set to release for PS4/Xbox One consoles and PC, but a September 2022 State of Play revealed the game would instead launch only on PS5 and PC.

Yes, I’m a part of the problem. I keep buying these new souls-likes (just like everyone else) so companies keep making more and more and more and more and more of them.
In my defence, this doesn't feel like a lazy, trend-chasing cash grab like some of the others, because Nier and Dark Souls are two depressingly existential games that pair well together, and it is clear that the developers put a lot of passion into this project. Nearly everything about Stellar Blade truly is stellar, from the graphics to the music to the gameplay.
The only thing it lacks is compelling dialogue, although, speaking as a heterosexual male, everything a woman says is a lot more interesting if [insert GIF of Al Pacino shouting “SHE'S GOT A GREAT ASS!”]. Sorry ladies, butt I mean c’mon… this is one of the few games where I've actually been excited to unlock purely cosmetic items. I was determined to collect all of them in fact, but I struggled to find every single can and catch every type of fish. Maybe I'll catch them all if I start New Game+ which is super tempting…
In all seriousness, Stellar Blade is a great game with or without the scandalous costumes.

Not one of the greatest games out there and its not a GOTY contender aswell sitll I love it.
The voice actor of Adam was bad he is the only exception that I don’t like the others were ok but I liked Eve and Raven the most.
The story was ok but better than Ubisoft games for sure.
The exploration will reward you with upgrades and more so take time while exploring. The gameplay was the strongest part in game of course, so I hope they create such a breathtaking story in the sequel, since they took a lot from Nier.
