First of all please don't look at the picture attached to this and jump to conclusions 😭😭😭first of all I was dared by my friend to be a girl and be named....that....wonderful name and guess what my mama raised no punk bitch so I said fine I'll do it.🧍🏻‍♂️ and I did it....and yea....but look how generic my final team is😍😍😍

So first and foremost this game....this game doesn't deserve all the hate that it gets. Sure is it a copy and paste of the original with better graphics? Absolutely. The fact that some of you say these are shit graphics? Like bitch you crazy? What you smoking? Who's your dealer cause you need a refund my guy. This game looks absolutely amazing. Although I'm not the biggest fan of the chibbie style. It's giving Legend of zelda link's Awakening like can we not? Something like pokemon sword sort of styling would have been more than fine.

There are some important changes that they made compared to the original. For those unfamiliar gen 4 games are some of the toughest games in the pokemon franchise, Specifically the champion but also because there is no XP share like this one. This game just like pokemon sword allows XP share between the 6 pokemon on your team. Making it less grindy and I find that positive cause frankly less time to waste because trying to level them up one by one not only is it long but it's repetitive and I hate that sometimes about older pokemon games. Another new gaming mechanic is your relationship with your 6 pokemon. The stronger your bond becomes the more they will resist in battle from fainting by showing you affection which helped me in some really tough battles.

They added the fairy typing in this which I don't understand why? Considering Fairy types weren't a thing until gen 6. I found that a bit bizarre. Catching Mesprit can be a bitch cause like why you running sis? 😭tf I have to look for her in the wild? You can catch chlamydia faster than you can catch mesprit in this game. (IM KIDDING). Other than these changes most is the same as in the original. There are a few other new stuff but frankly there is no room here For It. Cynthia is still a tough champion to beat it took me 4 tries as ashamed as I am to say it.🤦🏻‍♂️ That garchomp and spritomb are menaces to society.

I managed to finish the story and filled the pokedex I didn't bother to finish any of the non compulsory extra stuff cause why bother. I'll just do that for Pearl.🧍🏻‍♂️ gen 4 is my favourite gen of all time but I aint got no motivation for that cause first of all why am I seeing gen 1-2 pokemon in the wild more than gen 4? Like why are most gen 4 pokemom available to catch post game after you complete the dex. That makes no sense for me. It made me frustrated so for now 7/10, doesn't deserve all the hate but maybe...like 60% of it just for this dumb shit cause????

Graphics for me aren't everything, but I really can't stand these graphics. One of the few times graphics bothered me. Looks like a rip-off zelda links awakening remake, the proportions are just completely off here, making it feel so awkward. Just feels like a really quick and cheap remake for money, which is what gamefreak has come to unfortunately. Would only recommend honestly to people who really want to have a complete collection of Nintendo or pokemon, or else steer clear, you are way better off playing the original version of these games, and even though they can he pricy, it's just that much better plus they will hold their value and even increase. That little extra is worth it compared to this dumpster fire of a game

As someone who had Diamond as their first game ever, I have to say I had very high expectations for this & knew they wouldn’t be met the second the initial trailer came up. No, we didn’t want a copy-paste of the original games with a fresh coat of paint. Repeating mistakes from 2007 that were a limitation of its time as opposed to conscious decisions is not being faithful to the original piece, it’s just being lazy. It’s clear to me that TPC intended on this being a safe cashgrab that would sell well regardless in case Legends Arceus didn’t please.

With that being said, in the months leading up to the game, I managed to accept the game for what it was so I could still have an enjoyable experience when it came out. It was a fun way to relieve my childhood in a (considerably) better way, without needing to waste party slots for HMs, with an expanded roster and beautiful-looking battles, and I have to take my hat off for those incredible gym leader and Elite 4 rematches.

The chibi style has its charm but it makes it impossible to take some story sequences seriously (Cyrus, looking at you), and there is no excuse for the Battle Frontier to not be in. These are the weakest remakes of the franchise, and not because the way they look, but because unlike HGSS, they didn’t give me enough reasons to fully abandon the original generation’s games; I might not touch the OG Diamond again, but there’s still a lot of reasons to play Platinum.

I don’t get the hate for this game. It’s a remake of Diamond and I get people wanted some platinum but I thought the art style was very comforting and nostalgic. ILCA did a good job staying true to the OG source and putting a fresh coat of paint on and refreshed the soundtrack. I am not a fan of the Pokemon “love” bailouts sometimes in battles however, as I want to beat Cynthia without the handy cap. The underground fixed the lack of fire types and the ability to catch the legendaries in the former pal park was cool. The community even made a competitive battle scene in private rooms for this game. I liked the game and it’s over hated

Weakest pokemon game.

A perhaps too faithful remake of a DS classic. I had fun with it but compared to other Poké offerings on switch it definitely falls short.
