Set in the same beloved universe as Torchlight I and II, this shared-world action-RPG brings back many of the franchise's signature features and mechanics that captured the hearts of ARPG fans around the world. In true Torchlight style, players will team up with friends and devoted pets to hack and slack their way through a vibrant world, discover ancient ruins of lost civilizations and brave dungeons filled with riches and dangerous creatures.

Torchlight III is an action role-playing game developed by Echtra Games and published by Perfect World Entertainment. The game was first released on PC in October 2020 and was later ported to Nintendo Switch in October 2021. Torchlight III is the third installment in the Torchlight series and features fast-paced combat, a vast world to explore, and a deep progression system. The game also has several DLCs available on the Nintendo Switch that offer additional content and features.

The main gameplay of Torchlight III revolves around exploring the world and defeating enemies to progress through the game's story. Players can choose from four different character classes, each with their own unique abilities and playstyles. The game also features a pet system, where players can choose a companion to accompany them on their journey. Pets can be equipped with gear and can even be transformed into different creatures to gain new abilities.

One of the main features of Torchlight III is the Frontier system, which allows players to build and customize their own fortresses. Fortresses can be upgraded with various structures and decorations, and players can even invite other players to visit their fortresses. The Frontier system adds a new layer of gameplay and allows players to personalize their experience in Torchlight III.

Torchlight III has several DLCs available on the Nintendo Switch, each offering new content and features to the game. The first DLC, "Cursed Captain," adds a new playable character, the Cursed Captain, who is a pirate-themed hero with unique abilities and playstyle. The DLC also includes new quests, enemies, and loot to discover.

The second DLC, "Fairy Brotherhood," introduces a new faction of fairies to the game. Players can earn the trust of the fairies by completing quests and can unlock powerful new abilities as a result. The DLC also includes new weapons, armor, and pets to collect.

The third DLC, "Snow and Steam," adds a new biome to the game, the snowy tundra of the Steamworks. Players can explore this new area and discover new enemies, loot, and challenges. The DLC also includes new pets, weapons, and armor to collect.

The fourth DLC, "Dapper Heroes," adds new cosmetic options to the game, including new outfits, hairstyles, and emotes. The DLC also includes a new pet, the Alpaca, which can be customized with different hats and accessories.

The final DLC, "Fabled Creatues," introduces new mythical creatures to the game, including the Unicorn, Dragon, and Phoenix. Players can discover these creatures and unlock new abilities and bonuses as a result. The DLC also includes new weapons, armor, and pets to collect.

In conclusion, Torchlight III is an exciting action role-playing game with a deep progression system and a vast world to explore. The game's Frontier system allows players to personalize their experience, while the DLCs offer additional content and features to keep players engaged. With its fast-paced combat and unique character classes, Torchlight III is a great addition to the Nintendo Switch library and is sure to provide hours of entertainment for RPG fans

Too primitive. Even Diablo II has better story and gameplay. Don’t waste your time on this game.

It's a downgrade from TL2. Mobile game design all over it.

Missed the mark for me just couldn't get into it. I didnt feel immersed or really into the action. The art and the gameplay just dont personally jive with my tastes or strike thought and intrest for me. It just felt lacking personality. But thats my personal taste. Might appeal to diablo refugees that dont mind artstyle.
