SRPG format was casual and okay, but RPG part was weaker than other games.

Perfectly okay time-waster with pretty art and good music, but I'm not in the mood for a time-waster type of game at the moment.

A fun continuation of the Phantom Thieves' journey. This unique take on the classic Tactical RPG formula really tries to have a focus on where each of your troops are for the most advantageous positions to get you ahead of your enemies.
The gameplay is as exhilarating as ever. It's just as satisfying having your turn last as long as possible with 1-Mores and Follow Ups and wiping every enemy out with an All-Out Attack (or Triple Threat as it's called in this game) as I remember from the previous title. However one issue I have with the gameplay is that it's just too easy. It is practically impossible to lose a level because anytime one of your troops die, you can just replace them on the spot with another character ready to go with full health and SP. So you might think about increasing the difficulty but that then includes having to play with friendly fire active which is just not an optimal way to play.
And although this is still a perfectly fun game for TRPG enthusiasts looking for something new, there are countless moments where you'd just be sitting down with the Auto-setting on, listening to conversations go on for like 5-10 minutes each with the occasional dialogue choice for Joker (who is still mute, seriously Atlus just give Xander Mobus some competently written dialogue and let Joker be his own character. You did it for Narukami in P4Arena/PQ(2) and the Yukis in PQ(2) so you can do it for your mute protagonist with the most personality and dialogue from their original game). I didn't really mind the constant dialogue all too much as I was just enjoying the interactions between the Persona 5 cast and the two newcomers who really steal the show.
On that note, this isn't much of a spoiler but just to let you know before going in: this is not a story about the Phantom Thieves, this is a story about Erina and Toshiro Kasukabe in which Joker and Co. just so happen to tag along and assist in their development as characters. Not bad at all, characters like Ann, Yusuke, and Futaba already had their moments to shine in the previous game (s) so this really isn't all too bad (unless you were hoping for Ryuji to finally have a chance at redemption rather than simply filling the role of the 'dim-witted comic relief partner') but I thought I should still mention it before anyone gets their hopes up.
Overall, if you had fun with Persona 5/Royal and find enjoyment from playing Tactical RPGs, then I would definitely recommend giving Persona 5 Tactica a go.

This game never caught my attention as much as Persona 3 Reload, but it was still pretty fun to play at times. Not a bad game by any means, I just lost some interest partway during the game. Gameplay is very reminiscent of tactical RPGs like Fire Emblem, if that's not your cup of tea, maybe skip this entry. Story wise, it doesn't add anything new for the Phantom Thieves. The events of this game take place during the events in Persona 5. So you're not missing much. That being said, it's still quite a charming game that I will have to back and play sometime whenever I have more free time.
