Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver

It needed desperately a remake. The story is excellent, the writing and voices are Oscar-worthy. Even the gameplay ideas and environments are there. It’s just that the controls are so dated, the combat is nearly good but it falls too heavily into clunky territory.

Frustrating/Boring Puzzles: The Game

Insuferable platforming, slippery controllers, abhorrent puzzles. Story that starts good but the more it goes the worst it gets, updated visuals are good, voice acting is excellent, dialogue is great, main characters are very well done, lore and atmosphere are on point. Level design is intersting but so outdated and maze like. The map and compass additions are worthless. The teleport is horrible. Not as good as i remember as a kid. You will never beat this game without a guide, you will get lost forever. Lots of backtracking. Needs a remake

I don't think anyone saw this coming after legacy of kain (also a great game) but soul reaver took vampires and story telling to another level, the deep story to this point, the new mechanics and protagonist all awesome
