Summary

The world is crappy and deludes you that it is an open world, but it is stupidly closed
The shooting is not dynamic and simply bad in the controller and In mouse and keyboard

The atmosphere is fantastic and Gameplay is fun
but the world is boring af and empty
- every 20m is group of soldiers and when u kill them they respawn so i have to fight them for another 5-10 min when I come back after mission
- it takes so long to go to mission and return and fast travels are at the end of the map wtf
Has so much potential to be masterpiece

Far Cry 2 is arguably the best far cry ever made, the villain jackal is nowhere near as memorable as future villains but what this game has over future games is how advanced some of the mechanics are, like how guns rust, overheat the malaria disease and much more, it helps to create this oppresive atmosphere by going for a more realistic approach and ended up being one of there best games in the series but a lot more difficult than all future ones.

Far Cry 2 really pulls you in with its huge open world and intense survival elements. The setting feels alive, and the way fire spreads is awesome. The gritty tone makes everything feel more real, even if some things—like weapons breaking too fast—can be annoying. It’s tough, but that’s what makes it so rewarding. Definitely a game that sticks with you.
