Summary
In this turn-based Japanese RPG, young Crono must travel through time through a misfunctioning teleporter to rescue his misfortunate companion and take part in an intricate web of past and present perils. Few games will hit the level that this game has. It's too good to explain in just words but let me just try. The music, the characters, the story. All of it coalesces in a game that just works and feels everlasting. It's a great experience even now almost 30 years later

Probably the best JRPG of all time.
I recently played it again but I am speechless and really don't know where to start to praise this game. I think Chrono Trigger really encapsulates what the videogame media can do at its core, as a combination of great story and pacing, captivating visuals, amazing soundtrack, and carefully curated gameplay.
Came out almost 30 years ago and still holds to this day. Give it a try.
