Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana

The pacing of the story is good for the most part aside from the first Dana flashback and a bit of the starting bit (guess that's just how tutorials are, though). Aside from that the story is nicely written (though the ending.... mixed feelings), characters really do feel like a family, which is awesome, and the action gameplay is really snappy. and the graphics are a little dated, but that's to be expected I suppose. 40h for my first play through, probably will go back to complete some other stuff.

What a memorable experience, dana is one of the best game characters I have seen, truly well done game

A fantastic game with fast and fluid combat, a phenomenal soundtrack, good exploration, an enjoyable story (even though it’s not really that special) and great voice acting (Japanese dub), this is still my fav YS game even after playing the other games, highly recommended if you like Action RPGs.
