So I was never a fan of Tomb raider, specifically the trilogy in this case. I attempted this franchise last year and gave up 20 mins in because let's be honest the graphics haven't aged well. And the game mechanics were getting on my last tick so I quit. Same for the second one.

Now however since the Remaster launched I thought hey the night is still young so let's revisit mother croft. And to my surprise I stayed this time. I enjoyed it a lot. This is a great Remaster....design wise. The levels are beautifully designed specifically in the second one. There were some levels which aren't as visually pleasing specifically in the first one, because it didn't look flattering or because at some cases it was too dark to see, specially if you were playing in the daylight.

The game mechanics feel smoother, which made it enjoyable. But boy are these games so fucking hard. So much back and forth so many puzzles at times it became overwhelming however again I managed to pull through. The enemies to my surprise...were hard to kill sometimes, harder to kill than the bosses... which blew my mind. (Also some of the bosses look like they came out of silent hill like tf??? Horrifying) Lara looks great at times I did have to roll my eyes when I'd see this woman wear a crop top in freezing waters like someone get this lady a towel😭. The second game is definitely my favourite and not because there were levels in Venice in Italy which made my Italian ass feel at home. No the game was just super good.

If I have to point out the negatives...the cut scenes look horrible because they're fucking SHAKKKKY like shakier than camera angles. I literally mean the heads shake like a vibrator when they talk😭😭like what's up with that. Also last thing... besides the shaky camera angles...why does lara moan like sexual moans when she jumps or climbs shit??? Whose idea was that💀

+ Much Improved & Updated Graphics, and even the addition of Animations, both in-game but especially in cutscenes
+ All games' stages got Graphical Changes that incredibly also improve the Level Designs throughout all games
+ Modern Controls give a fresh & improved way to play the games
+ Extra Episodes, Ability to switch between Modern-Classic & New Game+ allow for additional hours of fun & replayability
+ The DEFINITIVE way to play these 3 iconic Lara Croft adventures

- Modern Controls aren't perfect and present some inconsistencies
- Not every Visual Change improves upon the originals' Charisma
- Certain Levels show their age by how strenuous they can get
- Pause menus lack [FIXED: Background Visuals] & Music
- Some Plots' Points are just thrown-about without any follow-up

Final Score: 9.2 / 10

The gameplay is so bad, the updated graphics are great but the bland empty evnrionments and non existent story or sense of direction and purpose is criminal to a video game. The only good tomb raider games are the last triology, anything else is garbage.
