Summary

Hello Neighbor is a stealth horror game about sneaking into your creepy neighbor's house to figure out what horrible secrets he's hiding in his basement. You play against an AI that adapts from your actions. Really enjoying climbing through that backyard window? Expect a bear trap there. Sneaking through the front door? There'll be cameras there soon. Trying to escape? Your neighbor will find a shortcut and catch you.

HELLO, I’M YOUR NEIGHBOR. GOODBYE, I’LL SEE YOU LATER.

Played on: Playstation 4 (Standard)
Version: Playstation 4
Edition: Standard physical

Awful. I played this because my daughter loves it & man was it BORING. It's also a mess that leaves you lost on what or where your objectives are. Very bad.

Final verdict: Don't touch it

At some point I just couldn't give a damn anymore.
Also, the look of the game kinda got on my nerves.
But it was intriguing and exciting at first!

In my personal experience it's a game that influenced my ability to play story driven games for the rest of my life. It's one of the first games where I felt involved in the plot and I found it quite complicated too, such a simple game has made lots of rumor across the Internet and left a big fan base waiting for future Hello Neighbor chapters. Some aspects that I still can underline as something remarkable is the cartoonish design of the whole thing, it gives you a constant uncanny feeling that something is off the whole time and it's well accompanied by the loneliness and emptiness of the world, there's only you, the birds and the creepy bastard across the street. After some time he learns your movement pattern and becomes even more annoying setting traps across his property and if he starts running after you... well, better to hide.

I recommend it to people that like experiencing the various mechanics of indie-like games but it's pointed on a younger audience, so if you want a cruel, scary plot packed in a cartoony game it's not the best option.
