The first 10-15 hours of this game were incredible. If the game had ended after 15 hours I would've given this game a 10/10... but the game keeps going and going. It becomes very repetitive, making you visit the same albeit slightly remixed versions of locations over and over and fighting the same bosses over and over until it becomes exhausting.
I binged this game all week when it first came out but now I can barely bring myself to finish it. If I have to fight Ganon one more time I probably never will finish it.
However the first hours were worth the price alone.

took me a while to finish and i’m not sure why as i genuinely liked it, but the controls on the switch (swinging the sword instead of pressing a button was absolutely shit) probably added to that
still such a good game and absolutely loved having Fi

From all the zelda games I've played, this definitely has the best story, only rivaled by maybe tears of the kingdom. With the setting of this game, I find that this might be a good entry point into the zelda series for people who value stories the most in games. With the time period the games set in, it allows for a unique story to be told within the franchise. In terms of the build quality, it's what you expect from something with the Nintendo stamp. To start the controls are really well adapted to button format, allowing people who play handheld to enjoy the game at no cost to the experience, while also retaining the motion controls, which work really well and help bring back the Wii feel for people who originally played this game when it came out. The graphics and art style are also really nice, and although you can tell it's a Wii game, it still looks great on the switch. In terms of game design, the dungeons and puzzles were really fun and still memorable after years of playing through them. Even though I don't have anything negative to say about the game besides a couple annoying sections, it's only an 8 for me simply because it isn't extraordinary. It does a lot of great things, while very few things poorly and exceptionally.

The first half of Skyward Sword is truly amazing and sets up for what should be a knockout second half. But, revisiting all of the same areas instead of traversing new ones is sorely disappointing. Exploring the sky is also very lackluster compared to the exploration of Twilight Princess and especially Wind Waker before it.

Sadly, I had to stop playing this game because I was not a fan of the controls. I wish there was an updated and much more user friendly controls. I enjoyed the world and the story but sadly the control scheme ruined it for me.

Play time: 45. Hours, skipped all side quests and just beat the story.

Good game but playing this one after BoTW makes your mind blown as this was the game that started the horrible stamina meter and the breakable weapon system.

Dungeon were fun, but pacing is slow in everything you do you have to watch a scene showing what you did.

No fast traveling dropped the game from 8 to 7 (there is actually but its paid lol)

Boss fight were unique and interesting except they repeated few boss way too much

Story is dragon quest level (pretty basic)

Ost is amazing

Would I replay it? No way too slow and lack of QoL hurts a lot.
