Summary

The people of Hyrule are being stolen away by strange rifts that have appeared, and with a certain swordsman among those missing, it’s up to Princess Zelda to save her kingdom. Team up with the mysterious fairy, Tri, and use the power of the Tri Rod to learn how to create echoes, imitations of things found in the environment. You can then recreate those echoes whenever you like to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. Create echoes like water blocks to reach new heights, make bridges out of old beds, throw rocks at foes, or find your own creative combination of echoes to do things your way. You can even create echoes of monsters to fight at your side in combat!

Nintendo doesn't disappoint, I freaking loved this game.

Cute visual, wonderful wonderful music,
it's clearly a classic zelda game in atmosphere but being able to finally play zelda as main protagonist let the game change the gameplay mechanics completely in a new way. One of the best example of open world done the right way, The right dimension filled with little secrets and side quests that are always short and nice. Progression is pretty linear, finally the good old dungeons.
There's lots of echoes and while there are some definitely more useful than others, gameplay never gets old and I think people will end up with different favorites.

Amazing game overall!
I really enjoyed how they seemed to add elements from both Tears of the Kingdom, Link to the Past, with both a classic and modern feel.
I honestly didn’t know what to expect when playing this game, but really enjoyed it, especially with the puzzle solving on this game, making it to where you can find more than one way to solve, using your own creativity. This game opens up on what future Zelda games can be like in this series. Overall, an enjoyable, unforgettable experience for the books.

Beautiful game.

I know the open world trend was nice for a time, but to me, this is the real spirit of Zelda.

Also, this is the definitive graphic style for these games. Period.

However much I love these kind of Zelda games, I always find they’re super quick to complete with the after story collectibles more tedious to find than fun.
The story was fun though and I loved the new gimmick. Although I wish it gave less freedom with the echoes, it was still fun to use them. I just wish some things were harder or more nuanced. The absolute freedom kind of takes away from the adventure a little bit. Like Botw, being too open seems to take away something. It’s as if I can’t quite get too engaged; I can just climb over everything. There’s no real advancement in the game.
Still, the dungeons were fun and I actually found fighting the enemies to be the best part of game. It was still as fun as the others but…just…missing something.
