After buying this game, I saw a bunch of terrible reviews, so I decided to keep my expectations low and not let the previous titles influence me too much. In my opinion, this chapter has its charm, but it definitely needed a more polished gameplay and a better-developed story to feel like a complete experience.

On the bright side, the environments are pretty nice, the soundtrack is okay, and I really liked some of the characters I met along the way (especially Captain Obo) and all the interactions. For the first half, I enjoyed the puzzles, and even though the story was minimal, it made me feel invested. But the further you go, the worse it gets: puzzles become dull or outright nonsensical, there are tons of continuity errors with the previous games, characters make ridiculous choices, you have to manually do even the most trivial tasks, and to top it all off, the controls are awful. Kate moves way too slowly, gets stuck on everything, walks in the opposite direction of your clicks, and the mouse keeps disappearing (especially in later sections of the game). At least, loading times were kind to me. Oscar's return could have been a great surprise if the game didn’t keep dropping hints about it every five minutes (even out of context 💀). And that abrupt ending? It left me pretty disappointed.

It sucks to say all this, because overall, I still enjoyed it, and I really love this series... but it definitely needed more polish and I can't ignore this unpleasant feeling that the ending left on me. That said, I’d still recommend it to fans, because there are parts worth playing. I hope Syberia 4 is better though...

The story isn't as enjoyable as the previous games, it's too rambling, and the inability to skip cut scenes and dialogue is infuriating... but I still liked it for the connections formed between the characters, that's really what's great about the franchise.

Este es la mejor gráficamente hablando de sus primeras tres versiones, nada más que decir, si quieres seguir la saga syberia, debes pasar por acá, es verdad que la historia la tergiversan bastante, pero aún es disfrutable, muy recomendada. 27/40 logros
