Summary

Super Smash Bros. is a crossover fighting video game between several different Nintendo franchises, and the first installment in the Super Smash Bros. series. Players must defeat their opponents multiple times in a fighting frenzy of items and power-ups. Super Smash Bros. is a departure from the general genre of fighting games: instead of depleting an opponent's life bar, the players seek to knock opposing characters off a stage. Each player has a damage total, represented by a percentage, which rises as the damage is taken.

I wasn't the biggest Nintendo fan by any means however I do enjoy a good super smash bros from time to time. It's a good time especially if you play it with people. I've played many however I had never played the original. However I wasn't very happy with this one unfortunately, the roster is a little small and as much as I could feel the nostalgia when I saw those familiar arenas, unfortunately I was a little let down by the gaming mechanics. They were a bit odd to play. Even tho I played for many hours I never quite managed to get used to these old mechanics. I do very much prefer the more modern ones

An incredible "fighting" game, easier to approach and to master compared to classic games of that genre of the time.
Smash Bros. is basically a party game disguised as a fighting game, and boy, with friends it really is a fun experience!
The single player modes are interesting, and sometimes can even offer a good challenge, but I find it weird that there's not the possibility to do a quick 1vs1 against the CPU. Instead, you'll have to replay the story mode from the beginning every time.
That's, huh... That kinda sucks, yeah. That's probably the only reason why I wouldn't rate this game higher. Oh, and the fact you can turn off the items spawn.
