Summary
Splatoon is primarily a team-based third-person shooter which is playable by up to eight players in 4-vs-4 matches, although the game also features a single-player campaign. Players control characters called Inklings, wich can change between human form and squid form. Transforming into a squid allows players to swim through ink of their own color, even up walls and through grates, hiding from the enemy and replenishing their ink supply in the process.

Such a unique and quirky game, it entertaining, but not a complete one.
The Nintendo's online service is not convenient, and game is mostly worth playing online.

Charming, unique, and addicting. This was a game where the world, characters and music really outshone the actual combat and gameplay. Playing through the story mode campaign was pretty boring and repetitive. The only thing I really enjoyed from this were the boss battles; they were unique and did a great job of utilizing the skills you gained during the single player levels. The multiplayer, it seems, was the main highlight of the game. I constantly found myself saying "just one more match" and then sticking around for another dozen. The matchmaking seemed a bit rough, but that could be because I played towards the end of its lifecycle. I am excited to see what a sequel could bring.
