You control a family of characters one at a time, and when your character dies, you choose who his or her successor is, whether it is a barbarian son of yours who has OCD, your daughter who became a ninja even though she can't see well, an assassin who is fighting for the gays, or a miner who wants to collect gold! Traits are randomized each time upon death, leading to multiple playthroughs with 35 traits, each character will be unique.

The gameplay itself feels fun and rewarding, if repetitive. Everything you die, the castle you are delving into changes, meaning no two runs are the same. Even so, a small number of rooms means the game starts to feel repetitive. Although character traits for each generation exist, as well as multiple character classes, this doesn't really do enough to shake things up.
Graphics are pretty good, without standing out, and the music is pretty good, although gets repetitive quickly.
Positives:
+fun, rogulike platforming
+interesting and expansive upgrade tree
+great sense of achievement in overcoming bosses
Negatives:
-exceedingly repetitive gameplay and music
-progression drags
-enemies and bosses can be annoying
All in all, a mixed bag for me. While I enjoyed my time with the game, it did begin to drag, and I started to really look forward to the end. 6/10 - meaning this game was fun tomolay, but had numerous, and serious detractions, although not enough for me to stop playing.
