Summary

Robot Arena: Design & Destroy is a PC game of robotic construction and combat. It is a sequel to the original Robot Arena. It's a simulation/arcade game based on robotic combat like you see on television. Robot Arena: Design & Destroy has more weapons, more accessories, more ACTION! Powered by the Havok Hardcore physics engine, bots can now bounce, flip, twirl and arenas are no longer just a flat box.

Woah, now this is a classic. Robot Arena 2 is a budget title released during the tail end of the first golden age of Robot Combat. The best game in the franchise it outlived its half baked sequel delivered during the second (and current) golden age.

Initially a badly built, glitchy game held together with spaghetti code it was stabilized and kept alive by a dedicated community (Gametechmods) via a modding scene and community made patches and bugfixes. This game is now abandonware but if you know what you are doing you can even get it running on Windows 10 due to these efforts.

However that said the games monopoly on its niche is seemingly limited now as a spiritual successor Robot Rumble 2 is in development and has playable builds in their discord being released pretty much monthly. This being said, pick this one up and play it, its rough around the edges sure but its fun arcadey action. Word of warning though, the community can be very unsubtle with criticism if you want to build better prepare to take a bit of heat.
