Summary

This game features the main five Rangers as playable characters with the Titanium Ranger as an extra unlockable character. The game can be played as one or two player mode and also features voice clips by the actual Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue actors and actresses. Once chosen, the player/players stay as the chosen ranger/rangers for the whole game. For the Megazord Battle, the player on controller one can use the Supertrain Megazord. For the final stage, it's replaced with the Omega Megazord. Another special feature for the game is a password system, where special cheat codes can give the rangers infinite health, lives, continues and powered up attacks, as well as access to an art and picture gallery, the option to begin the game on any of the first six of the seven levels and the Titanium Ranger. The Final stage of the game can only be accessed if the player saves the game on the PlayStation Memory Card after completing the penultimate one.

Power rangers is one of my fav franchises of all time, it has everything a little boy like me could ever fantasise for. Amazing costumes and incredible looking monsters. Like this is all I'd watch during my toddler years and lightspeed Rescue was one of my first ps1 games ever given to me as a gift by my uncle.

I revisited it and yes this game hasn't aged as well as I wished it did, I didn't remember it looking that bad however this still isn't going to stop me from loving it. Yes the game is messy and the mechanics are choppy but it is THE POWER RANGERS MAN! that soundtrack in the beginning brings so much nostalgia definitely one of the best theme songs for a power rangers series. Take this with a touch of salt don't expect greatness because you'll be disappointed this is only for us fans as a love letter.

The gameplay itself while messy it can be challenging specially the bosses, all rangers have their own ups and downs. Some are good while some are not (pink ranger) but yes I'd always choose the green ranger because he provided versatility but I'd also play as pink ranger because WHY NOT I liked a challenge and playing as her was indeed a challenge. The enemies unfortunately are all the same so it will feel repetitive but the bosses as I said are challenging so it kinda evens out I guess. This was the early stages yall like they didn't have much to go with. They had 20 dollars and a dream and it worked out for me at least cause I have fun playing this everytime I get the chance. You do need to play as all rangers if you wanna unlock the white ranger just a fyi.

Man technology has evolved so much I'm so pressed they haven't released a new power rangers game not those goofy ass lookin platformer games I mean like an actual adventure Resident evil like pov games where you get to experience visuals through a ranger like IM CRAVING FOR SUCH CONTENT URGH. whatever I'll still play this till I get what I want eventually...😩
