Pokémon Sun

An overhated pokemon experience. By no means is it a perfect pokemon experience, but in my opinion it's the best generation after 6. Sure the trials is a big change compared to gyms, but I don't find it that big of a turn off. They still have puzzles like gyms would have, and they end in a battle but just not versus a gym leader. My big issue are the z crystals. They started this trend in pokemon games to have this 'new mechanic' with every new entry in the series. Mega evolution is the perfect idea used in x/y and Omega ruby/Alpha sapphire, and now we get this gimmicky system every game as a selling point. We get 'new pokemon designs' which is either just getting big or becoming a crystal, instead of getting an actual evolution and new design of a pokemon like mega evolution. Despite this, it's the last generation of pokemon that feels like they actually put care and creativity into the creation of the product

Remember when everyone complained about gyms and wanted a Pokemon game like the Orange islands, then we got it and everyone complained about how much they missed gyms and that trials sucked. I LOVE the pokemon community so SO MUCH 😑

Seems really cool, and the story is okay. I only sunk two hours tho, so I have no good opinion yet.

Ok I'm gonna say it. Sun and Moon are just criminally underrated games for Pokemon. They aren't the greatest thing ever but definitely not the worst. My issue was I missed the gym leaders part of the game. But I love that they tried to go a different route.
