It's been a few years since i played Zero Dawn, i dont really remember it, and i didnt have a chance to play the second one when it came out however i do wanna revisit them Someday. Frankly im not someone that would play lego games on a big console like a ps5, last thing i need is judgement from family and friends so i got this on switch. This game does a great job however to unite a player with their family. Because it is a family friendly game. Sure the original Game can be violent and scary for a child This one is actually the opposite of that so in a way children can somewhat experience what the original Game was about, because at the end of the day stories matter.

Anyone can somewhat resonate with this story at some level. And sometimes those big, impactful, perspective-shifting stories can start with a single small animated plastic lego brick. If you’ve played any of the Lego games, you’ve played this game. It has the same formula as the other lego games. Everything about it will feel familiar There’s a few differences of the story, as it sort of feel like a reimaginarion of the lore. You run around fun mini levels built into a platforming style. There are collectibles you can look out for. You fight enemies, and you can unlock Aloy's allies so they can become playable.

At first, how out of place the Lego City jail and the construction site were in the world of Horizon was annoying. But eventually, the Lego silliness won out once you learn how to customize. The world of this game is gorgeous. It’s immersive. It makes the world and its story feel less like Lego people jammed into an unrelated world to what it can feel like either fanservice or just a simple cash grab and more like it’s just telling the (mostly) same story but a reimagining.

I loved the first Horizon game again i havent played the sequel nor the remaster of the first one. And I enjoy the Lego style of game with their humor and campiness. Now I may never have been a fan of actually Collection real life lego sets. I did respect people who did. It just seemed like a lot of effort and frankly ive never been the type with that kind of motivation.

In telling Horizon’s story of environmental collapse and out of control capitalism which can be confusing for children. This game manages to put layers of kid-friendly elements between the concepts and the increasingly inevitable reality. I think that's shareable and can be educational with real life issues.

cute and fun game, as a fan i really appreciated it maybe they could have done more but it's not bad at all just a little repetitive. i really loved seeing horizon world as legos, there are all the machines, places and characters. very funny dialogues and decent story that somehow follows the main one. great to play in coop with your family and friends!

The levels are way too repetitive

It's alright, I played this one the Steam Deck.
It's okay as a Lego game, there's definitely better Lego games out there. The end game content is boring, it's just the same repetitive areas over and over which makes going for all the trophies/achievements a grind.
It's very simple as an adventure game, very much a turn your brain off game, and once you've completed it you'll probably never go back to it.

A good looking game that doesn't deliver in any other way.

The levels are short, linear and repetitive. There is no worthwhile reward for exploration, no areas to come back to later with a new character or better skills. If you do venture off the main path you'll be rewarded with a handful of studs and a slight feeling a regret for wasting your time. Each level you'll wander from point A to point B, from left to right, fighting a handful of repetitive enemies on the way. That's about it. There are no collectibles, no real platforming or challenge, no puzzles to solve, no actual thinking required at any point. There isn't even much in each level that you can destroy for studs - you know, the bread and butter of Lego games...

You can spend studs on customising your character or the village base - neither of these offer any gamplay benefits and are purely aesthetic. With no reason to replay the game (which is already short), it all seems a bit pointless spending time and studs on changing the appearance of anything.

The dialogue is occasionally funny, but mostly consists of dumbed down food-related jokes that would (maybe) make a four year old chuckle. Erend's whole personality is donuts... not a single ounce of charisma, intellect or heart. From time to time there will be a line of dialogue to progress the story or explain what's happening (for those who didn't play Horizon) but it's mostly little quips and jokes that just don't land because they're so frequent and forced.

If you want some positives then the game does look great visually and the combat mechanics are fairly solid (albeit pretty limited), but this really isn't enough to make up for all that is lacking.

My wife and I love playing the Lego games since they're about the only couch coop games around anymore, but this is the first one where we've felt ripped off.
This game has somehow managed to combine two great game franchises and produce something impressively lacklustre. All the Lego games are aimed at children but this one feels like it's target audience is specifically newborns.

If you somehow find this game on sale for £10 then sure, give it a go, otherwise just don't bother. Play any of the other Lego or Horizon games for a much more rewarding, exciting, and enjoyable time.
