Summary
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is a puzzle/adventure game for the Nintendo DS and iOS. It was developed mainly by Shu Takumi, the man behind the Ace Attorney Series. Game's story centers on the protagonist Sissel, and his ghost's struggle to discover who he was when he was alive and who killed him. The player assumes the role of this ghost, who has the ability to perform various Ghost Tricks to solve puzzles and navigate the world around him.

The strength of Ghost Trick is in its fun and engaging characters that will keep you hooked in the exciting mystery story that will keep you saying: "Okay, just one more puzzle and story sequence" until you reach a thoroughly satisfying ending.
All of that is wrapped up in its unique and fresh gameplay hook, which bases all puzzles on the concept of a Rube Goldberg machine.
The gameplay can become tedious in parts for some I am sure, as it involves trial-and-error to figure out certain puzzles and having to reset to an earlier time to wait for the right conditions to try another approach. The puzzles are never too long or involve too many interactions where this becomes a serious problem however.
Also, this game has the best written dog in media.
Specific, significant editions to this remaster are remixed tracks and a new sliding puzzle mode, which I am luke-warm towards and I also feel like the art-design (specifically for the characters) worked better in the original, lower resolution.
