It is the seventh game of the Fire Emblem series, the second game in the series to be released for the Game Boy Advance, and the first to be released in both North America and Europe. It features a prologue storyline designed to introduce newcomers to Fire Emblem gameplay and tactical basics. The overall narrative is a prequel to the events of the previous game, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade, which is set twenty years later. The game was first released under the localized title "Fire Emblem" in the West, but it was later rebranded as "Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade" when Fire Emblem Heroes was released.

Updated versions
Eliwood's story was pretty great, but maybe dragged on a bit too long.
Didn't play Hector's story in a New Game, but I hear it's 90% the same as Eliwood's, just from Hector's perspective. Might come back to it later since playing it immediately might feel a bit repetitive and tedious.
Overall, still an enjoyable game, but it was harder to get into it as I'm only a modern FE fan (first played Three Houses and then went backwards into Fates and Awakening, all brilliant) and I'm sure I would have loved it at a younger age back on the GameBoy Advance but it was a bit of a slog for adult me. I'm sure a remake would make it sing for modern fans.

My first fire emblem game and it was amazing, I usually hate this type of games but once I tried this one I was instantly hooked.
Great story and characters, fun gameplay, great ost, overall amazing game
