F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch

Platform: PS5 Game version: PS5 digital Trophies: 100% - 44/44 Rating: (8) very good ⚪⚪🟢⚪ Solid metroidvania with cool greasepunk aesthetics. Having Chinese voice actors adds up to the immersion. Graphics are good and gameplay is intuitive and responsive. There's also platforming and the surprisingly large map is filled with secrets, collectibles and easter eggs. Quite challenging too, but not overly hard/unfair. For an indie game very impressive. Sometimes the areas feel empty, there could be a few more enemies/puzzles here and there. Checkpoint placement and brutal difficulty spikes can be very frustrating. Backtracking gets tedious. Underwater attack controls feel clunky. Short cutscenes are unskippable. Recycled enemies and bosses. Despite these shortcomings I'd recommend F.I.S.T. for metroidvania fans.

A UNIQUE FIST Forged in shadow torch is an action adventure game that everyone need to play Asap.It is the first metroidvania developed by Chinese studio TiGAMES. Its the entry level into this genre for those who never played but also those who are hardcore fans. You would not get lost in exploring and know exactly what you're supposed to do. I like unique games,and this one is fresh as bread. A Dieselpunk retrofuturistic city where population is filled with furry animals called Furtizens. I mean,Really. Characters are memorable,i appreciate the work of animation they put into each and every character. You play as Rayton,an anthropomorphic rabbit who uses a mechanical fist and drinks carrot juice from his whiskey flask. This is a modern metroidvania with insane animated cutscenes and spectacular voice casting.(eng) will take you on a whole new trip.The world looks like future neon fictional china with the amount of details they put into building is Masterwork,shows how much they had the love and passion for this project. Visuals are absolutely flawless,Art direction is groundbreaking in each area. This are all great but one thing I m sucker for is THE COMBAT and my god what a treat. You get three weapons as you progress,the fist,drill and whip with combo fighting system for each one. The Dashing ability is the main star here making it fast paced with addictive interaction with those weapons. Mastering those combos is extremely satisfying with Prosthetics like Shock baton (parry) and homing missile(rocket) in difficult situations since enemies are robots so it's really hard even in normal mode. They are not just weapons but also abilities like smashing doors with fist,drilling under the water,and grappling with the whip. There are collectibles and secrets you need to find for activating combos skills and customizing your machine. Map design is good,Puzzle Platforming sections are not easy. Backtracking will always be a primary rule of any metroidvania,this game has good tho. Not able to skip cutscene during boss fight multiple times is frustrating especially the last Boss,he's evil. Story is pretty generic,just like old movies,some will like it,some won't. It was unique,it was weird and I absolutely had a fun time with those combat and detailed world. I just wished they could have added more depth into characters and lore by adding a DLC. I'mma Fist myself to sleep now.

If you are a fan of metroidvania genre then this is a must play. First of all this game looks fantastic in its character design but it also shines it’s core gameplay with a decent story.

Um jogo com um imenso potencial por conta de suas mecânicas inovadoras para um metroidvania, como a possibilidade de combar inimigos, porém que não soube aproveitar muito bem as deixas que ele mesmo criou. Além disso tem o que considerei como furos e brechas na jogatina, com a falta de balanceamento entre as armas (a última adquirida é sempre melhor que a anterior), a árvore de habilidades pequena e barata e inimigos que mesmo sendo comuns não sofrem stun e inibem a criatividade do jogador em realizar combos. Mesmo assim tem seus méritos por trazer momentos desafiantes e divertidos, e apesar das minhas ressalvas eu o recomendo.

9/10 porque hay el combate está bastante bien pero no me encantó, fuera de eso, de los mejores metroidvanias que han salido en estos días.

ايجابيات:الاعداء متنوعين في الي يطير الي يطلق عليك الي يهجم الي معاهد درع.. لعبة 2d بذا الضرب الممتع وكومبوس.. القفزة والحركة مضبوطة حتى الكاميرا تتغير على حسب المكان بشكل ممتاز والنط على الجدران من النوع الي احبه الي يقعد ومايتزحلق على طول وتقدر تنط فوقه مايحتاج شيء ثاني.. الهيل نظامه حلو وموزون ياخذ وقت.. السلاحين مختلفين وتقدر تدمجهم بالكومبوات الي تسويها مثلا ترفعه بالاول وتضرب بالثاني.. تقدر تستعمل البيئة او الاعداء عشان تذبحهم زي ترميهم على بعض او ترميمه على شوم وموية.. مو مركزين على البلاتفورمنق لكن المنطقة الي فيها صراحة حلوة مع ان افكارها مو جديدة.. المستوى بالنهاية يصير اضعف ويصير فيه ضياع.. تصميم الاختصارات ممتاز لما تخلص من مكان دايم فيه اختصار يرجعك للبداية بثواني.. السلبيات:احيانا ماتقدر تشوف الزعماء من الكاميرا.. لما تضرب الضربة الي على تحت ما تطيح معاها .. جزء التخفي كان سيء وكله انتظار خصوصا مع المكعبات.. مكان الموية يعني.. التبديل بين الاسلحة توقيته غريب مفروض على طول بدال ما اقعد ادور وزنية.. لما تموت ماتنحفطلك الفلوس والخريطة الي بعد التشيك بوينت.. القدرات عادية.. التشابتر الاخير زبالة كله عبارة عن انتظار ونشيل شيء يخليك ابطئ ولا تقدر تنط زين ولا داش.. الداش الي يخليك ماتنصاب كان المفروض يعطونك اياه ابدر خصوصا ضد الزعماء..

Excelente metroidvania, com bastante puzzle, itens ocultos e divertidas boss fight. Além de boas referências a outros games e animações.

Ótimo Metroidvania.

Um metroidvania bem ok, generico e sem alma, mapa pouco inspirado, com pouco polimento e som de baixa qualidade. Porém o defeito maior é no equilíbrio, o salto de dificuldade sobe desproporcionalmente no final. Além disso o jogo tem umas decisões de design um pouco estranhas, como um item pra dar parry(?), dividir a cura com outros itens, tempo para usar a cura (parece souls) De bom ele tem os visuais e o combate.

Muy buen juego, apartado gráfico impresionante, historia, jugabilidad... Metroidvania de conejillo armado, me encanta! Amplio estilo de combate con combos tipo juegos de lucha, lo que le da un toque diferenciador, recordando por momentos a un beat'em up clásico. Con algún Easter egg ❤️ Un puntazo. Mis bendiciones 🙋 Spoiler (lo único que me pareció negativo) en noruego: Å drepe kattungen var unødvendig, historien krevde ikke et så dramatisk poeng...

Metroidvania classicão. O mapa é bem grande, tem bastante exploração e coletáveis. A história é bem ok. Ele tem um sistema bem elaborado de combo. O que estraga são as travadas nas transições de telas.

Passatempo desafiador e genérico. Positivos: - Mapa grande e bem estruturado - Temática greasepunk atrativa - Arsenal criativo que possibilita combos - Bom design de personagens, inimigos e chefes - Gráficos em geral Negativos: - História clichê - Ausência de atividades variadas pelo mundo - Personagens rasos e sem desenvolvimento - Dublagem que beira a canastrice - Checkpoints podem ser frustrantes - Final decepcionante

Muy buen metroidvania con un toque del género de lucha en el combate, a pesar de que se le noten las costuras es bastante disfrutable, un platino entretenido.

História original! Ótimo gameplay! Boss desafiadores! Se estende demais, fica maçante com o tempo. Morrer em determinados pontos da fase e voltar tudo de novo, sem nada para fazer, a não ser voltar e assistir as msm cenas sem poder pular, chato pra caramba. Bom jogo! 425 / 1000 G
