Summary

An evil organization, named AGYMA, threatens the 200 years of peace the galaxy has enjoyed. It was released for the SNES and also as a view-limited downloadable game for the Satellaview that was broadcast in at least 3 runs between August 31, 1997 and February 28, 1998. The "E.D.F." from the game's title is an acronym for "Earth Defense Force," however the official name of the game employs the acronym and not the full expression.

Earth Defense Force is the first game in the well known series, and a much different one at that. It is a pretty standard side scrolling schmup, but a good one. The music is quite catchy, and give me Metroid vibes. This is not the hardest schmup of all time, but certainly contains some challenge. You have three huts per level by default, but these can be reduced to 1 for the purists among us. I found the final boss battles to be quite tricky, but all were quite fun. All in all a pretty good schmup, and worth your time if you are a fan of the genre.

Questo gioco ha una pixel art molto carina e con diverse combinazioni di armi a disposizione!

Nonostante gli stage siano impegantivi al punto giusto, i boss (soprattutto gli ultimi) sono fin troppo difficili e nauseanti.
