A truly powerful game,if Death Stranding was about the human need for connection,DS2 is about examining the danger and pain of those connections. The plot is deceptively similar to the first, but with a lot of different emotions underneath and the cyclical nature of the plot helps reflect Sam's mental state. The characters are all a lot more engaging this time around and the crew of the DHV Magellan is great.

The final chapters are absurd and emotionally charged with a ridiculous boss fight and a load of plot twists that mostly land, the ending is heart-warming but tragic and that post credit scene is perfect.

The gameplay won't win over anyone who didn't like it the first time, but for those that did it's wonderful,a fantastic mix of of an Death Stranding and MGSV,much of the tediousness is also cut out and replaced with dangers that are fun to overcome and improved ways of traversal offering so many ways to tackle orders. The graphics are also gorgeous with a great atmosphere and the music is top notch with a welcome music player feature.

There is a couple of flaws though, the giant boss fights and the BT sections still feel awkward (the mech fights are fun though)and some of the story beats could've been expanded on

Overall Death Stranding 2 is is a phenomenal sequel, thought provoking and ambitious with an affective emotional core.

This was my graduation gift from my parents after finishing university, and I honestly can’t describe how excited I am. I played Death Stranding 2 in early access, and just like the first game, the story starts off slow… but then it completely takes over. It gets so emotional and gripping, I couldn’t put it down.

The gameplay feels smoother and more refined, and they’ve added new elements that really make a difference. I don’t want to spoil anything because it’s something you need to experience for yourself.

There’s definitely more action this time around, and honestly, I really enjoyed that change of pace. And the soundtrack? Absolutely beautiful.

To me, this is easily a Game of the Year contender. The story, the world, the graphics, the atmosphere everything about it is worth checking out.

I'm not sure what to say. This game is a masterpiece! Those who claim it's a walking simulator clearly don't understand the world of Death Stranding.

By the way, this game includes additional features than Part 1. I know someone may claim I have awful taste, but I can't lie to myself; I've enjoyed this game since the first part. Perhaps because I am already familiar with the realm of Death Stranding.

"Keep on, keeping on-peko!"

One more Hideo Kojima incredible videogame! I have no words to describe what exactly I felt during this journey, but in the end I’ve loved!

Death Stranding 2 is yet another perfect example of why there's no one quite like Hideo Kojima. An emotional rollercoaster that constantly keeps you on your toes, never knowing what might happen next. As a sequel it pretty much improves on all that was great about the first game whilst providing a more action orientated experience without losing any of what made the original so special. Outstanding performances, especially from the likes of Troy Baker and Léa Seydoux. Music is another high point, with so many wonderful tracks from the likes of Woodkid and Low Roar. It's also arguably the best reason to own a PS5 Pro, because it looks stunning on Sony's enhanced hardware (though standard hardware runs the game perfectly well too).

There's truly nothing like Death Stranding 2 out there, if you embrace Kojima's madness, you'll find that DS2 is one of his finest works to date.
