I originally would've given this an 8/10 but the finale of the campaign isn't very good. Felt incomplete? Otherwise this was a pleasant surprise back in 2019. I do recommend it at least for the singleplayer as it's a bit different than the original trilogy.

Not the best gears game but still good and also an example of how unreal engine SHOULD be used. No shader stutter, no traversal stutter...no stutter whatsoever despite the crazy high quality visuals especially considering it's an Xbox one game. The series x and PC versions really shine with visuals and audio that are second to none. This Microsoft studio is so good with unreal engine that they were sent to epic to assist them in developing ue5 and they fixed many issues as well as helped create lumen & nanite which are software based versions of dx12u hardware accelerated functions like mesh shaders and dx12u ray tracing.
