This game should be really freaking cool but I keep dropping it every time I pick it up and I don't know why.

Played on: Playstation 4 (Standard)
Version: Playstation 4
Edition: Digital

Starts off EXTREMELY fun but once you clock in about 2 hours you realize how repetitive it is. I can get over cringy dialogue & terrible story but looped gameplay? No.

Final verdict: Don't touch it

Look, I give it a 5 because it’s not the most incredible game I’ve ever played. It’s a glorified on rails shooter where you rack up points Tony Hawk style by shootin dudes. It’s crude, it’s over the top, and it’s made for that late 2000’s/early 2010’s dude’s dude.

But when you really get into the gameplay loop of shooting and executing high scoring combos, that’s where the fun really is. Some genuinely funny stuff in here. And the giant set pieces are pretty breathtaking. There’s stuff in this game that I’ll remember for a while and hope to enjoy in another FPS. Will I play it again? Maybe if I’m bored and want to play something arcade-y.

If you’re big into FPS games, then you could come back to this inbetween games in your backlog and knock it out in a weekend if ya got the time. Blast some fools old school boomer shooter style. But don’t expect much more depth.

If they made a sequel, I’d play it. Also the guy who voices Spike from cowboy bebop is the main character’s voice, so there’s that too!! Anyway, on to the next game.
