With all due respect to all the fans of this game, this game was not special to me at all and I thought it was very overrated. It had a very simple and basic story and there was nothing surprising in it. The gameplay was very bad in my opinion and it is very ridiculous that you can't aim in a first person shooter game. Of course, the unrealistic and over sized weapons made this feeling worse. The game environment was very sick, repetitive and boring with disgusting and hateful enemies that make you feel worse. The voice acting was terrible and you could hardly understand what they were saying and the dialogues were very long and poorly implemented. Of course, the music in the game was not good at all and did not add any excitement to the game. Overall, I did not enjoy this game at all and I only finished it because I don't want to leave the game unfinished.

I accidentally had the main plot twist spoiled for me but it really just let me see the genius foreshadowing and hints from the beginning

+ Rich and immensely deep Plot & Lore
+ World and its Environments are hauntingly gorgeous
+ Enemies & their Self + Combat Awareness AI
+ Variety of Weapons, Powers & Tools to use
+ Mini-Games, Side Activities, Collectibles and a Decision System that enrich the whole experience…

- …even though certain aspects are imposed over the player's Decisions
- Unreliable Auto-Save system
- Combat & some of the weapons feel limited when facing certain enemies
- Map System is somewhat clunky & limited

Final Score: 9.1 / 10

Words cannot describe how bioshocks incredable lore and the deep (excuse the pun) immersive story will send chills down your spine and you venture through the dark , rundown corridors of Rapture city which is located at the bottom of the ocean. Flickering lights and shadows play with your mind as you hear the creepy and sometimes downright disturbing chatter of Slicers who have lost all concept of sanity.

While it is obvious that gameplay mechanics are well outdated, I honestly feel this title still stands strong in 2024.

The new textures the remaster brings does indeed bring the game to life and is visually a major improvement compared the original and the use of plasmids still felt fresh. Blasting lighting out of your hand into a puddle of water to electrocute large groups of enemies at once then switching to your shot gun to finish them off is just one way that you will need to make use of the environment in order to stay alive.

Now would you kindly give this title a try.
