Ben 10: Protector of Earth

Here we go with another Ben 10 Review but nothings new. This is a classic. A great game, huge fan of the show so I do my best to play all the games. This is a great throw back to the show. Although you don't get to play as Gwen, playing as Ben is still fun. The soundtrack is really fun, the voice acting is cheesy but the nostalgia will always overcome those feelings. The 2D level designs are so good even for the time that it came out. The gaming mechanics are fairly easy to master. And the boss fights are fairly unique. However there is a downside to it. The original Ben 10 had so many classic underrated and iconic Aliens like ghost freak.

And this game doesn't deliver in that department. You have a fairly limited selection of Aliens which is a bummer considering this is the first game of this franchise. However as much as I wished the game was different it's still fun to play and will most likely visit it again in the future.

As a child i was so into the ben 10 series with it being my fav cartoon , so i decided to revisit the game (psp version) and complete it since i couldnt defeat the final boss back in the day . Tbh i didnt care about the story nor i did pay attention , i think these kind of stories are too immature for my age . In terms of graphics its nothing revolutionary but the alien designs dont look off and are faithfull to the original cartoon . In terms of gameplay it has a little bit of platforming , some puzzles which were too easy , i know that this game is supposed to be for kids but still . The combat is a beat em up style system where you use 5 aliens each with their combos to beat the shit out of the hordes of enemies , tbh i would ve liked if we had more aliens to use , only 5 is very limited . The enemies although the majority shared design similarities , but each type had it weakness strenght and attacks , some of them could even guard. In conclusion , protector of the earth is liked becuz of nostalgia but i managed to be enjoyable even in 2021 , score 6/10
