I loved every second of this game, just a gift for every fan of PlayStation and other video games outside of this brand.

One of the best platformers out there, topped by only the very best of the genre. In terms of negatives of this game, there are none. Sure it lacks any semblance of an actual narrative, but what platformer has one anyways. But for what it doesn't have in story, it more than makes up for it in charm. The bots are adorable to go around and collect, making little sounds when in danger or across various different scenarios. The visuals are super nice and glossy, really nice to look at. In terms of length, it shouldn't run you more than 20 hours for everything and that's a perfect length, just enough to quench your thirst without drowning you out. The gameplay is also just so fun and relaxing, this really is the epitome of having fun while playing videogames. There's obviously a lot of value in emotional stories or super intensive gameplay, but sometimes laying back and enjoying the moment is just as valuable and important. The game is fairly easy, with the exception of some additional side levels that are meant to be challenging, which are mostly fair but tough, offering a nice pallette cleanse once in a while. The real meat on the bone here is the bots themselves and the cameos. Some might see it as a cheap nostalgia grab or a Sony advertisement, and that may be true, but seeing some famous characters in the game, or your favorite forgotten franchise get some love or some big 3rd party franchise get a surprise entry is just pure fun. Every time I saw a vip bot riddled level I just got excited seeing the possibilities of who they could add next. This might just be the most videogamey videogame there is, and that's amazing

This game is a joy to play, i love nostalgia elements of some of the popular PS IPs. Love the level design and fun boss battles. Definitely a must play for a PS owner

A game that absolutely adores being a game. I really, really loved Astro Bot, it's so full of joy and really smart game design. I can't say it's PERFECT because I think the last two galaxies feel a little too long, but the scope of what appears to be this little robot platformer is genuinely astounding. If you've got a PS5, I couldn't recommend this enough. Didn't expect this to ever get hard either, but some of the controller button-themed levels had me RAGING lol

The most fun I've had in a long time!! Astro Bot is the perfect antidote to a long, grindy day at work or school as it delivers constant doses of happiness throughout each level. It also brought back the same buried joy I felt playing Crash Bandicoot as a kid for the first time on the original playstation, which explained the strong nostalgia I've felt while playing Astro. The incredibly creative Team Asobi has outdone themselves and truly established Astro as playstation's mascot which is great to see. In my opinion, Astro Bot is worthy of the GOTY consideration, as it checks all the boxes for an outstanding platformer. That said, I have yet to play Wukong to see which game deserved the award the most.
