Summary

Assassin's Creed is a non-linear action-adventure video game, during which the player controls a 12th-century Levantine Assassin named Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad during the Third Crusade, whose life is experienced through the Animus by his 21st century descendant, Desmond Miles. My friend showed me a first mission of this game, and I thought to myself this looks interesting.AC1 started it all.Game is universally aclaimed, some people didn't like, but for me it's somewhere in the middle.First of all,I got to give Ubisoft a credit for interesting concept. You play 2 sides of the story. In modern time you are Desmond Miles, who got kidnapped because the bad guys want to know the location of poweful artifact.Through Animus(machine) they can relive memories of Desmond ancestor Altair, assasin from 11th century in,which is the second story.Through the game you learn more about the concept of Assasins/Templar world, their ideologies on freedom or control, and more is revealed to Desmond the more you play.Story was very interesting, from both perspectives of Altair and Desmond.Altair is tasked to kill 9 templars to regain his honor, while Dezmond is doing what he must to survive.Gameplay is mixed for me.At one hand I do like that this is a stealth game, but you also can engage in combat if you want.In terms of stealth, missions can feel quite repetitive, but you can perform it different ways, either being stealthy or fighting.Combat itself is fine enough.Altair got a OP sword, hidden blade, short sword and throwing knife.Traveling was ok at first, but also it's not good, because map ouside Masyaf is too long to go from location a to b.Viewpoints I didn't mind at first, but after a while it becomes a chore to do.They included that mechanic in so many games that were not neccesary at all, activating towers as people say.Characters are solid and soundtrack was average, good enough I quess. One thing that stood out to me in every AC game is how they leave you with cliffhanger in the end of the game, and seeing desmond getting Altair's abilities was nice development for Desmond's character.Graphics were pretty good for 2007,presentation was the highlight for sure, and overall a worthy game for anyone interested
