Summary

Arma 3 is a truly massive military simulation sandbox game. It offers a wide variety of true/sci-fi combat situations in both singleplayer and multiplayer modes. It also comes out of the box with a very powerful editor that allows players to create their own scenarios, campaigns and mapmodes both for single- and multiplayer use.

My most played game, before you look into it some warnings

This is a multiplayer game , there single player modes but it won't last you years

The base game is good but as any sandbox the mods make it great , from star wars to ancient Rome , world war two and Warhammer anything you'd like

If you really want to get into this military simulator you should find a group on the Reddit FindAUnit

I didn't play this much but my bf really loves it, I went straight into the multiplayer.

Very warm and welcoming community, even patient with people like me that are a bit slow too learn new mechanics.

A very realistic milsim, with several official campaigns and backed by a very strong modding community (even after a decade). Only let down by occasional bugs that are too old to fix and the total price of the DLCs. If you can get them all whilst on sale, do so.
