I didn't see anything special about this. It is look like a mini game with its independent story about someone in bright falls.

The Lake House is the final chapter of this amazing and unforgettable journey called Alan Wake 2

The expansion introduces some interesting new features, such as a new weapon (a grenade launcher-ish) and a new "paint enemy" that can cause some jump scares.

The Lake House makes a good job on filling some gaps left by the main story and making a powerfull connection with the upcoming Control 2...but this is still an expansion for ALAN WAKE, so I was a little disappointed at the end when I realized that it didn't actually expanded the story we saw last year.

Although Estevez is a good addition to the universe, we finish this expansion wanting some more of the famous writer and wondering how many long years will it take so we can grab our revolver and flashlight in the hands of Alan Wake.

Let's wait for Control 2 ♥️

The story of this DLC explains the beginning of the main game and the reasons behind and how the events at the start of the game unfolded. Fantastic gameplay and impeccable video quality. It connects better with AW2 than the first DLC, Night Springs. For me is 10/10.

I was really looking forward to this DLC. I made it about 80% through the Final Draft before starting this DLC. The story follows Kiran Estavez investigating the Lake House before she meets up with Saga. The story doesn't change the main game much but it offers its own great narrative. The Lake House was awesome to explore and it gave great Control vibes. The return of reading many documents returns which I really liked. The new enemy was spooky and the combat is the same as Alan Wake 2's combat. Overall I really enjoyed the DLC and the Control 2 teaser was great to see. I'm going to go back and finish the Final Draft and close the book on this fantastic game.

صراحه خيبه أخرى ، اضافه جيده وافضل من
Night spring

* القصه لم تعجبني الحقيقيه ولم تشدني بتاتا

* اللعبه كلها ملفات وصراحه انا شخص لا امانع القراءه لكن الملفات كثير وكأنهم رامين لكن النص ويقلك اقراه مانبي نسوي مشاهد او حتى نسوي نرويه لك

* الالغاز، هو لغز واحد الحقيقه و مكرر وهو فتح الكمبيوتر والي هو كان هناك لغزين ممتازين وممتعين و صعبين الباقي مكرر

* قصيره جدا جدا ساعه ونصف - ساعتين تقريبا

* خطيه بحت

بالنهايه الاضافه ليست سيئه ولو كنت من محبين
Alan wake
انصحك بلعبها والمفروض تكون مجانيه الحقيقه يعني لو ما معك نسخة ال deluxe edition ستدفع 20 دولار صراحه كثيره جدا على اضافتين قصيرات.

Honestly, it's another disappointment. It's a good dlc, and better than Night Springs in my opinion.

But I don't know what they were trying to achieve, and I didn't feel like it added anything to the story. I had really high hopes for this dlc, but unfortunately, it was a letdown.

It's not bad, it's quite enjoyable. I liked the little horror elements it had and it brought back memories of the base game, reminding me of how much I love this game.

pros:

Horror
Atmosphere
Overall level and monster design
The graphics are still the best I've seen in this gen, and I still believe this is the best game of this gen.
The music is good.
The overall sound design is amazing.

cons:

I didn't like the story at all, it didn't engage me.

The whole game just documents, and honestly, I don't mind reading, but there are too many files, it's like they're just throwing the Script at you and saying "Read it, we don't want to create cutscenes or even narrate it to you".

The puzzles, there's only one puzzle and it's repetitive: opening the computer.
There were two excellent and enjoyable puzzles, but the rest were repetitive.

It's very, very short, about an hour and a half - two hours.

Linear progression

In the end, the DLC isn't bad, and if you're a fan of Alan Wake, I recommend playing it. But it should have been free, honestly.
If you don't have the Deluxe Edition, you'll have to pay $20, which is honestly too much for two short dlcs."
